We met our 60-passenger bus on the dock in Cadiz. On the long ride to Seville our bus tour guide provided an excellent overview of the history and economy of the area. When we arrived in Seville the tour of about 36 people was divided into three smaller groups. Our local guide in the Alcazar was excellent. Though the palace was very crowded, she took time to fully answer any questions and allow us to view and photograph the spectacular architecture.
On our drive to Seville our guide gave us an informative overview of the history of Cadiz and what to expect then turned us over to a local guide at Seville. The Plaza De Espana and Palace was a walk back in time. We loved the quaintness walking thru the neighborhoods and the restaurants/shops.
It exceeded my expectations. Everything was well organized and went flawlessly. The price was approximately 50 dollars less than the ship rate and was a full day with plenty of time to see the Palace and those exquisite gardens. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and her English was excellent.
A bus met us in Cadiz to transfer us to Seville. Once there, our tour guide met us. It felt a bit disjointed and the information was more- here is this place. Here is a church or in the palace, here is the Queen's quarters, Kings quarters but not something interesting about it. They did not delve into the historical significance or make you want to pay attention. I was able to see a snap shot of Seville in one day and at an affordable price, so I am glad bought this tour. But, it was not one of the better ones.
