The group size was way too big and they had several different types of tours in one group. So the guide had to keep stopping to figure out who had to leave and who stayed. Lots of wasted time! Melissa the guide was great and so was David our bus driver, they just dumped way too much on them! Then we got to the afternoon river cruise and were handed off to Lola. Not friendly or informative. She talked so fast you couldn’t tell when she was switching from Spanish to English. And when asking questions she would get mad at us. We wanted Melissa back!
To start with, the pickup was late by over 15 mins which is frustrating since they have given a 10min timeframe when pickup is expected - effectively I was waiting 25min. Talking to others on the tour I wasn't the only one that was picked up late. If you are expecting a small group tour, you will not get one there were over 30 people on the tour even the guide mentioned numerous times we are a big group. Since it's not a small group, don't expect a minibus, rather a mini coach.
The guide spoke multiple languages and spoke fast while explaining what we saw while passing by, this made it difficult to understand her most of the time. The first stop was the Plaza de España it was a quick 5min stop and nowhere near enough time to appreciate it. Since I was staying close, I was able to visit again later and spend a reasonable time there tip: go in the evening a lot less people there so better views and experience. Next, we were split into language groups, but this doesn't mean that the group turned into a small group tour, since we had people from other pickups join our group and others left. Visiting the Jewish Quarter was interesting and informative.
Being able to skip the long queues to enter the Alcazar was great even then we had to wait for more people to join out group, and the views are amazing! But wait if you are a Game of Thrones fan, be wary since you won't be shown the gardens aka Dorne from the show. Since this was part of the reason me wanting to go on this tour, a few of us on the tour questioned the guide and she said we couldn't since we had no time. As a number of people wanted to see the Gardens, we asked if we can take our lunch and free time now, and then go to the Cathedral after, but this was rejected by the guide. So I requested my ticket to the Cathedral, so that I may enjoy the gardens they are beautiful and worth anyones time regardless if they are a fan of the show and visit the Cathedral once i was done, this was also rejected. I left the tour at this point without being able to visit the Cathedral and would meet for the boat ride 3 hours later.
Boat ride another disappointment, you are on a boat with about another 80 people and not really worth it in my opinion. The Old Tobacco Factory, and Triana neighbourhood are all only seen within the confines of the coach window. However, the Bullring was pretty interesting end to the day.
To summarize, it is not a small group tour in any stretch of the imagination, you don't get up close to everything, the guide we had was poor in her communication and was not reasonable to the requests of the group so much for the personalised attention.
Seville is an amazing city and well worth your time, but not with this tour.
This was a great all day tour and a fantastic way to see the main sights of Seville. We started off on a bus tour to see the panoramic views of the city and then to Plaza de Espana. From there we split into two groups - English speaking and Spanish speaking and walked through the Jewish Quarter. I had walked through the Quarter previously and didn't know what it was so I am glad I took the tour. From there it was onto the Alcazar and Catedral. I wish we had more time in the gardens of the Alcazar a GoT filming location. This is where the tour ended for most people. I had signed up for the full day tour and wasn't told where to meet the rest of the group until I asked. From there we did an hour river boat ride which was quite breezy and relaxing and then a tour of the Bull Fighting Ring and a church. I'd highly recommend this tour, though it is not small group as the voucher will tell you. It was about 25 people.
This was one of the most relaxing ways to end the day and receive a different view of the picturesque city of Seville. We learned unique facts about the city and river that you want gain during the regular bus or van tours. The tour guide and other staff were also great and welcomed questions.
Started as a large group with the tour guide, Lola, speaking 3 languages. Spoke so fast to get everything in no one understood her. Got
off at first stop and we all asked each other where are we. Finally broke into small group by language, but this was done in the middle of a busy sidewalk. Henry took over then and he did a nice job through the alcazar and cathedral. At the end of the cathedral he was walking away and we did not know when and where to catch up with the boat tour. Then had 1.5 hours for lunch and shopping. However, I was a single woman and signed up for a tour for safety as well. So wandering the town alone was not what I had planned to do. Finally Lola showed up for boat tour but it wasn't the boat it was the bulling ring first. . Again I multi languages. I left the tour early.
This was a fantastic tour, especially if you want to get a great overview of every major site. Our morning guide, Melissa was incredible and she even took us to a great lunch place afterwards before she had to go get her child! She was funny and entertaining and smart and informative.
After lunch we had Lola who was a total bummer...no interest in us or the tour at all and it was hot. Despite that and Lola's lack of interest I would not miss the bullring...it was worth the visit. The boat ride was not great either but the full day gives you everything. If Melissa had been with us, I am sure it would have been better!
Excellent tour! Very much worth it! Our guide, Jose Antonio, was very knowledgeable and very funny and professional. The tour was well organized and timely. This includes all the highlights of Sevilla, including going inside the plaza de toros (bullring!). I highly recommend this tour. No regrets.
