Had a great time on this tour featuring Blarney Castle and Cobh. Our tour guide, Peter C., was funny, knowledgeable and accommodating, and our bus driver, Kevin, was very courteous and helpful. Enjoyed the views of the Irish countryside from our reserved train seats during the 2.5 hr trip from Dublin to Cork and back, and the bus travel between Cork, Blarney Castle, and Cobh was comfortable and provided great views. This was a great value for the price, I look forward to my next tour with this company.
Sites were amazing. Blarney castle and Cove Emigration center was a must see! We spent minimal time in Cork. Train ride was fun and relaxing. One suggestion - The tour company ran 4 tours simultaneously on the outbound train (1/2 day tour, full day tour, 3 day tour and 7 day tour), so this made some of the logistics a little confusing, and made the initial tour size pretty large and not very personal.
this tour runs ilke a well oiled machine. their team gets you where you need to go. Ok, if you're going to X, stand over there, those of you going to Y, follow that guy, etc... and although you're bound by strict train schedules, at no point do you feel herded like sheep through an area because you're low on time.
We had an excellent time on this trip! Our guides were very organized and expert at shepherding a large group of people from train to bus, and made sure to count heads before leaving each location. We enjoyed the train ride, especially on the way back after a long day of visiting Blarney Castle and the town of Blarney for lunch and shopping, and seeing the other sights in Cobh. I highly recommend this tour.
Spectacular tour. From beginning to end, this full one day tour was an experience we will never forget.
We went in October but still had decent weather... it must have been my Luck O thee Irish!
I finally kissed the Blarney Stone! It's a MUST do and so enjoyable!!
