As a fan of history and Outlander, I enjoyed the day tour. Our leader and excellent bus driver, Fiona provided a fresh perspective on Scottish history and popular culture. My only complaint was timing which is set by headquarters and not by the tour guide. We spent way too much time at Dounne Castle and not enough time in Culross. The times could have easily been switched. Also more lunch time in Falkland would be helpful. Otherwise very, very enjoyable.

A really great tour. This is fun even if you are not an Outlander fan. Learned a lot of scottish history and saw so beautiful places. The tour guide/driver was really into the places and Outlander realted history. She did a really good job. Only thing I would like to point out is that some of the places that was listed when I made my booking, we did not stop at. Such as Linlithgow Palace and Aberdour. Instad there was another place (a harbor - I don`t remember the name). Also the tour was 1 hour shorter than stadet. Also it was not in the order stated (we were suppose to start with Linlithgow Palace on way to Doune Castle). But the tour itself was amazing!

If you are an Outlander fan you will love this tour. Saw The castle that is Lallybroch and the McDougal castle, Edinburgh street scenes, the inn and other shots. We had a great group. One lady had a life size cutout of Jamie and by the end of the day everyone had their picture taken with it. Loads of fun!!

Fiona was awesome, entertaining and informative. The sites were super interesting.

The lunch stop was too short!!! Impossible to get lunch at a sit-down-and-be-served-cafe, which is all that was available to us in Falkland - without being terribly rushed. Only 8 minutes to look around the town. Lunch needs to be 90 minutes.

Culross stop was also too short. Difficult for my 82-year-old dad to walk to the places he wanted to see in the time allowed. 15 min needs to be added to this stop.

This tour was marvelous. We started with Castle Doune Leoch and had plenty of time to explore the castle. the audio tour was helpful when exploring the different areas. On to Culross Crainsmuir where we had time to explore the different areas of the village that were locations for shooting, as well as the Culross Palace and gardens. From there to Falkland Inverness and lunch. The Campbell Coffee shop had a limited but excellent menu. Proceeded to a seaside village can't remember the name that stood in for France when Jamie and Claire arrived there in season 2. Then on to Midhope Castle Lallybroch. It was wonderful. the house itself is just a shell, but the sense of being at the Fraser home was overwhelming. When I watched Episode 2 of season 3 after returning home, it was so wonderful to watch the scenes from Lallybroch. We were fortunate to have Ben as a guide for this tour. He was a extra in seasons 1 and 2 and gave us lots of tidbits about actually shooting of the series. And he pointed out many sites along the way that weren't included in the tour. We got a great history lesson on the Jacobites, starting with Mary Queen of Scots up to the battle at Cullodenn. A worderful trip, particularly for Outlander fans.

Great tour of iconic Scottish landmarks whether you're an Outlander fan or not. A small group of ten nine eager ladies and one husband who I suspect was dragged along guided by the lovely Yvonne, the tour takes in such sites as Doune Castle star of Outlander as Castle Leoch, Game of Thrones and Monty Python's Holy Grail, Culross Village, Falkirk faux Inverness in Outlander and the highlight was the final unscheduled stop at Midhope House, Lallybroch and the Fraser ancestral seat in the show. A great tour which everyone even the husband thoroughly enjoyed.

This tour is a must for any Outlander fans. Our guide Ben was friendly and knowledgeable and a great story teller. He had been an extra in the show and shared some funny stories. The departure point was the Highlander Explore tours office on the Royal Mile, luckily for me not far from my hotel and easy to locate. The girls organising the tours were efficient, as many tours left in the early morning from their offices. I purchased a ticket to enter Doune Castle not included in tour cost, but worth doing before I boarded the bus. This stop had the best selection of souvenirs from the show. I bought magnets, calico bag, dragonfly with amber earrings and a standing stones pendant. We stopped for lunch in Falkland which doubles for 1940's Inverness. Ben pointed out a variety of options, and some other participants and I chose Campbell's Café. The lunch I selected was potato and leek soup and tiny cheese scones, homemade and delicious! Had time to do some more shopping at a local craft shop The Wynd. I also paid to enter the Herb garden featured in the show. The group was around 15 women from a variety of countries who were friendly with a share interest in the show. Great value for money, even having to pay small entry fee for the extra experiences.
