Updated to a previous review where it all went wrong, owner followed up and asked about the tour and guide. She's worked with the guide that day and has assured me that she'd doing everything she can to educate and develop the skills so it does take a turn. Additionally she's refunding the cost of the tour and offered a free tour in the future to show improvements.
All in all, really great follow up and care. Based on her honest effort and care, I believe the tour can be much better and I believe it was a one off experience and not indicative to her overall services.
She did not ask for me to make an update but I feel her sincerity and concern as a business owner deserves a 2nd review. If I could take down the post I would i'm unable, but I also hope that seeing how well she responded to constructive criticism shows she's an hands on owner willing to make it right however possible.
Please take some time for the food tour!
Lydia was an incredible guide for our Best of Downtown Food tour in Vancouver. The dim sum was the best ever! The clam chowder, OMG! Beer, wine, cocktails, small bites, mussels, local seafood, desserts, gelato...!!!! She was an expert on everything Vancouver, took us to amazing spots, shared local history, sites and tips! Worth every penny!
Sutton Place food and cocktail to die for, Chinese food fabulous.Urban Food experience awesome. Perhaps 2 desserts too much, considering only 5 venues. Tour guide friendly and knowledgable.Highly recommend
Lydia of Vancouver Foodies gave a great food tour of her city! We enjoyed learning AND eating in several Vancouver establishments. The food and beverages were all delicious and certainly was enough to satisfy us for a meal or two!. Lydia was friendly and knowledgable.
Splendid way to spend a few hours in the afternoon. Our host Lydia was very knowledgeable and the tour is well structured taking us from Dim Sum, to some cheese, meats, fish and then macaroons and finally ice cream to finish off the day. All the food served was of excellent quality and some great locations. Thoroughly recommend.
Lydia was an amazing tour guide. She was polite, engaging, and very knowledgeable. We visited a good group of restaurants that gave us a well rounded view of what the city has to offer. The food was delicious, diverse, and plentiful. My favorite was The Boulevard Restaurant. The best clam chowder I have ever had! Lydia gave us some city history as we strolled up and down the streets of the city. Lydia made our day very special. I would do this tour again if I were to visit. Very well organized tour.
