Great trip but you must take cash as wifi drops in and out. Thanks to the lovely Sofie who made my cashless trip very helpful
The Murray river is a very nice trip and great area to visit
When you go to the chocolate factory go to the whiskey place next door to the chese place, the cocktail whiskeys blew my mind and such a sweet and friendly host who also has a swig with you.
We were really looking forward to this trip however it was a little disappointing. Our coach and driver were excellent however upon arrival at the dock for our river cruise the Paddle Steamer looked nothing like the one in the picture! We were expecting the Proud Mary and what we got was Captain Proud a very tired looking vessel that had definitely seen better days. We were told it was built in the 1970s and it quite obviously had not been renovated since! Once aboard the vessel it was a free for all to find a table for lunch and despite having booked as a party of four we would have been on 4 separate tables! When I mentioned this a crew member muttered that we should have got on the boat quicker! A me,ver of my party told him that was rude and they then set up a table downstairs for us. We didnt let it spoil our day but it was very disappointing having spent over 600 for the four of us to have what we thought would be a nice day. We were served our lunch the food was very good at 11.30 a little early but we understood they had 69 passengers for lunch but our dessert wasnt served until 1.30! Upon arrival back at dock we reboarded the coach and were taken to Mannum lookout which was lovely and then onto Melba Chocolate factory and Cheese Wrights. We were expected to do both and have afternoon tea in half an hour and the cheese Wrights was closing 15 minutes after our arrival! Suffice to say afternoon tea didnt happen! All in all a nice enough day but vastly overpriced and very disappointing!!
Well organised tour, lovely cruise, lunch and other activities that made up the whole day tour/ gives a good taste of what the area has to offer! Pick up not too early - so you don’t end up sleeping in the coach in the afternoon - tour guide was great too!
The guide was knowledge about the history of Adelaide. The Proud Mary was relaxing. The view from the boat was good as the landscape changed. The lunch was good. The cheese and chocolate factories were tasty. The museum was interesting
great for a whole day out of the city. Nice lunch with freshr salads and fruit and cold cuts of meat. We visited chocolate factory and cheese factory so in summer a small food storage bag would be handy to take. I would of liked more history side of things in the talk by bus driver and river boat captain but enjoyed the day.
