I would definitely recommend this tour. I was the only one that day and Leoncio, my guide, adapted to my needs. He was a good driver and a wonderful guide. I managed to visit everything, including Terra Nostra and a swim in the thermal baths. I couldn't have done all of this by myself. Thank you!
The tour was exactly as described and more. Our tour guide was excellent, we had some extra time so he took us to a couple of more places that were not listed on the tour. He was very informative and extremely polite. His love for the island and friendly nature made the experience wonderful. Lunch at the restaurant was excellent and the service was great. I highly recommend trying the corn on the cob cooked in the boiling water of the volcano . We could have spent all day in the thermal baths it was so beautiful . Don't miss out on a great day and a great experience .
This was an incredible experience. Our guide was awesome and took us to where we wanted and beyond. He was really nice and we had a blast. The food was delicious despite some parts having extra earthy taste as it was cooked in the furnas hole and taken to a restaurant and prepared for our lunch. 5*
After some research I decided to book this full day Furnas tour, Leon is great guide. I also take a tour with him for Sete Cidades Half-Day Tour which is also amazing. Leon showed me many great viewpoint to see the view of the east of the island and great stories of the fishing man and histories of the island. Furnas is a bit different from Sete Cidades. It has more to see and to do. Sete Cidades is more for sight seeing or if you want to go for hiking tour. Furnas is really nice little town, you can taste the spring water or have a hot spring bath at Terra Nostra Park and Poca Da Dona Beija. They both really great. And hot spring cooked food Aguas Quentes is also very tasty. The portuguese muffin tatse bolo levedo so good I think I can have it everyday for breakfast. I love everything about this tour and highly recommended.
This was my first tour with Leon the guide , and it was an amazing trip. He showed me the vistas along the north coast incl. the tea factory and explained the sights very well. We then entered Furnas first the vista on the top of the caldera and then into the village itself. He even showed me a spot near the river where you can take a nice foot bath in both hot and cold water. I can only recommend Leon as a guide, he is goes out of his way to make sure you get the most of your time, and is very knowledgable about the area.
