This was a great tour for any new visitor to Bangalore - although it helps if you are comfortable riding a bike already! I was picked up from my hotel in a cab and dropped back there too after the ride - very easy.
My guide for the day was Aarti and she was brilliant! Very friendly and full of lots of local knowledge at all of the places we stopped. I went on the tour on a Sunday morning which might have meant the roads were a bit quieter than usual - however the areas we cycled in were pretty easy to navigate and not as scary as many people thought it would be many people were initially horrified I was thinking of cycling in the Bangalore traffic!!. Aarti was great at giving me instructions on where we were headed and most of the other road users were happy to go around you and give you space. It was actually quite exhilarating to be amongst that!
The breakfast at the MTF was yummy - it was great to try the traditional south Indian breakfast foods and this was a very popular place. The three temples we visited were also pretty quiet which was a relief - no hoards of tourists to fight through. Aarti had lots of interesting information to share at each place.
The cycling was relatively easy - the heat can make it a bit tiring but there are no crazy hills or big distances to cover. I had been previously advised that in temples women must have their shoulders and knees covered - so make sure you are dressed appropriately.
We ended the ride at food street which was just opening - I got to try some street food snacks that I might not have tried on my own and that were a perfect end to the morning ride.
All in all a great morning trip and well recommended!!
