Great half day tour if you are tight for time. TBH it is a big area to cover 3 main attractions in 3hours. If you are keen to go to the tip of the rocks and you want to hike...have lunch before touring tge museum and queue for the Black Virgin inside the church you need a full day tour. The guide was okay and she too was stressed for time. I understand how she could not even allow good 10minutes for some to purchase local produce such as honey cakes and cheese in a tiny open market at the location. I only want a taste so it suited me perfectly. Winter definitely wear a heavy jacket. It may seem lije common sense that the tour doesnt remind you but some senses are not common :)
We booked this for my mom’s birthday and it was a complete waste of time. The meeting point only said in front of Hard Rock Cafe. There were other tour companies there. It wasn’t clear which one it is. We had to go through every tour guide just to find the right one. Second the guide didn’t feel genuine. She was not interactive. I don’t even remember her name. It says on the description that it’s a guided walking tour. Yea she only guided us to where we can get a funicular, where the toilets were, and where the meeting point would be. Not a lot of information regarding the monastery. Third, the tour says it lasts for 4 hours. We only spent a little bit over an hour on Montserrat. The rest were travelling time. Obviously, that’s not enough. Also, the guide literally just left us on our own to roam around for an hour. Everything as rushed. The bus was nice and comfortable but that doesn’t make up for the lack of effort and information. The guide also walked too fast knowing that there were elders and little kids. She went down the stairs all of a sudden. The family who brought a stroller had to go around instead. Where was her common sense? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
