Dublin 9/24 to 9/29.Been to Dublin a couple of times before and never did hop/on/off. Did so this time as I was traveling with folks who have never been to Dublin before and they thought it would be a good way to see the city.First, the web site for cityscape states buses run every 15 minutes with the fine print saying that changes during certain parts of the year.I purchased a 2 day pass with a free day added. 1. Using for 3 days we found the red (gray line) buses and the green (go Dublin) buses were 2 to 1 in frequency and sometimes 3 to 1. 2. Tried to call office of Cityscape to report a lost item and no one answers phones during business hours.3. When booking no route map available and once in Dublin found out no one sells Cityscape and no one recommends them.Choose to spend a bit more and get more.
Waste of time
, sep 2018
We waited for an hour at bus #5 and never saw a yellow bus. Threw the ticket away, wasted $75 and bought a hop on hop off red bus ticket. I hated wasted money but I didn’t have much time in Dublin. Enjoyed the red bus

Do this!!! It is well worth the money because you can hop on them all over town in stead of taking taxis, and all of the drivers sing and are very knowledgable!

Long wait times for the buses to come around. Waited 30-45 minutes at a couple stops. If the loop didn't include Kilmainham Jail I wouldn't recommend it at all. If you don't intend to go to the jail then just tak taxi's throughout the city.

The buses would not honor the coupon provided. I finally had to ask assistance, and the first bus that declined me was the proper bus. I recommend purchasing this once you get to Dublin.

Unfortunately this was a bad chose to take the yellow bus. It may be a bit cheaper, and it never passes. The red and green Hop-On , Hop-Off would pass us by every 10 minutes or so, and we ended up waiting over an hr for our bus, and it never showed up. We were in the rain and had no choice to walk about 7 to 10 minutes and get a bus. It was a waste of money since we had purchase this yellow bus for 2 days. Take the red or green HO-Hoff .

Positives - vintage bus, live guide (no recording), entertaining commentary, some cash off against entrance fees Negatives - u have to plan your stops and visit duration as the bus runs only once every hour. Hence not recommended for someone who wants to see all the attractions.

I could not find the bus stop near Grafton St. , as it had been changed because of road works, so I had to walk two kilometres in the rain to another one, stopping to ask where on earth it was because it said one street but the hotel that it said it was opposite was on another street. When the bus finally came I was the only passenger. My idea of using it to get around were dashed when the guide said that they had moved to the winter timetable because of low numbers and only had three instead of ten buses in use. I ended up walking around Dublin as it was quicker. I never saw another bus on the roads in the whole five days that I was there.

We were not told everything closes at 5:00 pm. The tour guide explained all the stops to us, but everything was closed. We would have liked to see some of the sights, but all we could do was look. We were on the last tour of the day and if we got off, we would have been left behind. At 4pm, our tour guide starts picking people up at all the stops. The bus stops at 7pm. We did talk to the other passengers on the bus, they said some things were great, Cathedral, while others,Guinness, wasn't worth the money.
