Admire Bruny Island by both land and sea on this day trip from Hobart that includes a 3-hour eco-cruise around the island. You’ll have the chance to see remote beaches, rugged coastlines and native wildlife like dolphins and fur seals as you cruise past steep cliffs and deep sea caves. Ferry transport to the island is included, plus morning tea and lunch on the island.
Your Bruny Island day trip from Hobart starts with the approximate 45-minute coach drive from the city to the coast, where you’ll catch the ferry to Adventure Bay. During the drive, admire the scenery and listen to narration from your driver about points of interest.
When you reach Adventure Bay, enjoy fresh-baked muffins for morning tea before setting off on your 3-hour wilderness cruise around Bruny Island. With covered open-air seating, the custom-built adventure boat provides plenty of viewing opportunities of the wild coastline and, hopefully, sightings of local marine life. Your heart will race as you zoom between steep cliff faces, heading toward the Breathing Rock. See the treacherous location where the Southern Ocean meets the Tasman Sea, and keep your eyes open for dolphins, fur seals, sea eagles and maybe even a great white shark.
When your cruise returns to shore, warm up with a lunch of homemade soup and bread, and then end your day trip with the trip back to Hobart.
A fantastic day, well organised, excellent guides, a lovely meal and great morning tea
The boat crew really made the day as we saw not only the fantastic cliffs and caves but the lots of wildlife as well

PENNICOTT TOUR staff are AMAZING.
Everyone was looked after from start to finish.
A MUST DO TOUR FROM HOBART.
A wonderful, wonderful experience. I cannot rate too highly the organisation of the tour. Everything was seamless: coach, morning break, ferry, boat ride, lunch. Each place visited enhanced the whole experience. And the spectacular Tasmanian landscapes and seascapes are memories that will remain for ever.
We did this tour in February and it was amazing and great value for money. The staff were wonderful and extremely knowledgeable and nothing was too much effort. The meal was also lovely which topped off a great day. I have recommended this trip to many other visitors as it was probably the best day we had in Tassie.
Great tour. I just wish we could have ditched the oysters for some chocolate tasting since we drive right past it! The boat ride is amazing though. The staff are all lovely. Bruny Island is well worth checking out.
