Regrese a la ciudad para dejar en su punto de partida.
We had a very nice tour of Viking stuff! We loved it. The runes were amazing! The local history told to us by our guide Quinten were amazing! I would have liked to have spent an hour in Uppsala strolling! But we’ll save that for another visit.
Our guide Tobias was very informed and made the trip a pleasure. Amazing rune stones and he provided all the information on what they meant! The Uppsalla and Sigtuna areas were very interesting and played key roles in Sweden's development - the Cathedral was magnificent as were the ruins of the old church in Sigtuna. A trip well worth taking
The first stop was literally in a cow pasture where There were three runes which Nadia used to begin our education on Viking culture. Each stop was enlightening and while Sagtuna was great for its history and quaintness Uppsala was wonderful for its cathedral and mounds. Very enjoyable.
Our full-day tour with Angus was 10/10 the best thing we did on our trip out to Stockholm.
We were greeted promptly from our hotel and taken out into the countryside with just one other party of two in our group. With such a small party, everyone was free to ask as many questions as possible and all the driving was quite comfortable!
The tour was highly informative and Angus was an excellent tour guide - listening to his explanations, you get the sense that he has a deep love for the Viking history and mythology of the region!
Also - if you have the opportunity and are super into Vikings, be sure to heed his recommendation to visit Aifur - a fun, rowdy Viking themed pub with some of the best food we had on the trip!
If you're visiting Stockholm - be sure to take this tour!!
I really enjoyed this tour! Very interesting and informative. Angus, our tour guide, is very knowledgeable about the Viking history and he's also cool and witty! For me, Angus is the best tour guide I've met so far! Jonathan, who assisted Angus in the beginning of the tour is also good and cool! Special thanks also so Anna-Cari who was our tour guide in the Viking Village. And of course, I will not forget the most famous among them all -- Agnes the Viking Dog! :
If you like history and you are interested about the Vikings, I really recommend this tour!
Angus was our guide for this tour, which ended up being a private 5 hour tour, due to lack of bookings. He was extremely knowledgeable and informative. Angus was assisted by another member of his team who was also a pleasure to meet and learn from. We enjoyed every minute of our time with Angus, even in the pouring rain. Congratulations on providing an excellent experience for us. Thanks.
There were six of us, stuffed into a Ford Galaxy with our driver/guide, Angus. Very uncomfortable for a full day tour, with lots of stops and getting in and out of the car. Angus did not seem very enthusiastic about the tour, almost bored. He went through the motions of telling us where we were and what we were seeing but the two local guides, one at the farmhouse where the burial mounds were, and Jonathan who was at the last couple of rune stone sites, were much, much better guides and were interesting. Sigtuna was a disappointment, especially after Old Town in Stockholm itself, and a lot of time was spent looking at and driving to find rune stones. This would have been better as a half-day tour.
This was a history tour with great facts and details to back up sites viewed. Our guide made seaming ordinary rock decorations and village reconstruction sites from 1,000 years ago come alive. How the Viking age of warriors started and ended was vividly described.
