Great Tour and Group, i was traveling alone and the whole experience felt like traveling with a big group of friends. Fiona was so nice and friendly, she explained so many things and made the tour incredible!! 100 recommended. It was worth the long ride!!!
This tour was amazing. I saw so many pandas I could not believe my eyes. My tour guide Seven spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable. I could tell she also was very passionate about the pandas. I have recommended this tour to others already.
This is our 4th time to book Viator other 2 with my wife's account, but am disappointed with this booking. My 2 daughters were the ones who went with the tour and the feedback was not good. The tour guide that was given to them was Sky. She was nice and funny , and young, like same age as my daughters 21/23 but seems like it was her first time to go to Leshan also. My daughters were picked up early, at 7:30 am, and had to wait a long time at the train station because the train was scheduled to leave at 9am. Then upon reaching Leshan, they only went to see the Buddha and didn't do or see anything else. Since there was nothing else to do after seeing the Buddha, they had to leave early and take the bus, a 2 hour bus ride. Such a waste of time and money for us. If I only knew, we could have bought the train tickets ourselves. I would not recommend this tour.
This was a beautiful and very well organised tour. My guide Vivian was fantastic and her English was flawless.
The Jiuxiang Caves and the Stone Forest were amazing. Both are an absolute must see when you are in Kunming. The tour also included a very nice lunch at the local Yunnan restaurant.
Overall a great experience. Highly recommended.
MUST DO !!
It was a well organized and indeed interesting visit to the histrocial site of the Giant Buddha. Our VERY experienced guide FIONA told us a lot during the trip from Chengdu to Leshan. We had to wait for more than an hour to make the way down to the bank of river, since there is always somthing happening around you, time is just passing.....look around and enjoy! It was really crowded but our guide managed to take us to a small local restrauant for lunch in due time.
Thank you FIONA for a very very interesting and funny day.
If you go to Chengdu, you have to see this, even if you don't understand a word of Chinese. The last part with the mask changing is very impressive. Our guide was very nice.
My only complaint would be that the venue was cold. Perhaps advice to wrap up might have been helpful. That said, it was a most enjoyable evening. Certain aspects of the show instrumental solos to taped soundtracks were less than gripping. However, the final 45 minutes of the show were superb and showed the techniques for which Sichuan Opera is famous, all in expert hands. I enjoyed it so much that the cold ceased to matter. I would go again.
The guide, Louisa, was informative and charming and went out of her way to ensure that I enjoyed the evening.
My husband and I had an amazing day in Xi'an with our tour excellent guide, Jacob. He gave us a wealth of information about each sight, and was a lot of fun and easy to understand. Our driver deserves a medal for how well he did in traffic. We only had one day in that city, and Jacob made the most of it for us - visiting the Banpo Ruins seeing the terracotta warriors magnificent having a delicious lunch in the warriors vicinity Xi'an is well-known for its noodles, and they were making them by hand at the restaurant - SO good visiting the Wild Goose Pagoda walking along the ancient city wall if we hadn't had a flight to catch, we would have rented bikes and biked the top of the wall. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped off at the airport, and the entire day was outstanding.
