Excursión para hacer trekking

Excursión hecha para hacer trekking con nivel intermedio - alto de dificultad. Esperábamos algo totalmente diferente. La idea de ir a Sa Pa era no solo para ver los paisajes sino sobre todo para conocer las diferentes etnias y aprender un poco sobre su historia. La excursión se basa en hacer dos rutas de dificultad media - alta. El primer día la ruta de unos 9/10 km tiene zonas de bastante dificultad ya que el camino es bastante resbaladizo y en cuesta. Recomendable llevar muy buen calzado y estar en forma para poder hacerlo. Además de la dificultad está ruta ellos estiman hacerse en 3 horas lo cual no me parece factible. La guía Sisi no nos dio ninguna información sobre la zona simplemente nos indicaba el camino (a veces ni eso porque se adelantaba y no esperaba a todo el grupo) y se limitaba a pedirnos ir más rápido porque iba anochecer. El paisaje es bonito pero no tuvimos ni 5 min de parada para disfrutarlo. La guest house es cómoda y limpia pero esperábamos poder interactuar un poco con la familia y no fue el caso. Parece un hostal cualquiera. La ruta del segundo día es más corta y algo más sencilla aunque tiene partes que son un poco peligrosas ya que los caminos de tierra tienen partes bastante resbaladizas. En resumen para nosotros no fue nada agradable. Parece una excursión para hacer deporte sin tiempo para disfrutarlo (muy mala organización) y nos fuimos sin conocer un poco más de la historia de este bonito lugar. Supongo que también l experiencia depende mucho del guía que tengas y la época del año ya que en este momento a las 6 ya es totalmente de noche.

Zuzu fue una guía fantástica y nos enseñó mucho sobre Sa Pa y las comunidades de los alrededores. Era encantadora y muy divertida, ¡simplemente la mejor guía que podríamos haber pedido! El Homestay fue fantástico y la familia fue muy acogedora, incluso nos permitió ayudar a preparar la cena y jugar un poco de karaoke con nosotros después. El paisaje y la caminata a través de los arrozales fue impresionante, y realmente nos sentimos inmersos en la cultura circundante. ¡Definitivamente lo recomendaría!

¡Tuvimos la experiencia más increíble con La como nuestra guía! Ella fue tan encantadora, nos enseñó mucho sobre la cultura y las tradiciones vietnamitas, y ajustó la caminata cuando vio que algunas partes estaban demasiado resbaladizas. La casa de familia fue encantadora y lo pasamos de maravilla con la familia. Mucha diversión: caminar fue un poco desafiante pero nada demasiado difícil, ¡y es ajustable! ¡Recomendaría esta experiencia a los viajeros ansiosos por explorar el hermoso paisaje de Sa Pa y sumergirse en la vida rural vietnamita!

Everything was so bad

This trip was messed up every step of the way. The night bus from Hanoi arrived later than scheduled, it then changed the vehicle half way, so our sleep was interrupted. The night bus mostly local people so little kids were screaming on the way and one puked, making the whole bus smell. The guide who joined us in Sapa did not pay any attention to us, did not give any instructions on the schedule, did not provide any information on the area/its history etc. On the first day the guide left us after lunch without saying goodbye and on the second she didn't secure our timely return to Sapa town for the bus to Hanoi. She left and another guide poorly instructed her group who was supposed to be in the minivan to Sapa, so the minivan missed the 2pm bus to Hanoi. The bungalow in the homestay in Ta Van village had bed sheets and dirty bathroom from the previous guests, so I didn't sleep pretty much the whole night. On the evening in the homestay we were supposed to cook the dinner with the family, but even though we asked about it several times, it didn't happen. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Me and my partner did this trip at the end of October. We got the night bus, arriving in Sapa in the morning to start our walk. We had a great time! Our guide was lovely and we got a lot of help from the local women who worked with us. It's not a difficult walk but there were some steep bits where it was helpful to have someone stable there. Fantastic views, really breathtakingly beautiful. The homestay was perfect and we met up with other groups and their guides and had a really great evening with them all. The homestay food was delicious and we had a great sleep. Everything was really well organised and was very smooth. Highly recommend!

An amazing experience hiking SAPA rice fields. Everything was so easy and many inclusions. Highlights included our lovely tour guide and a home cooked meal at the homestead. Rooms were clean and the views from the hike were beautiful.

We had an amazing time with our tour guide Mu in sapa. Everything was well organised from start to finish. The can be a bit tough at places so be prepared with some decent shoes. The home stay was very clean and new, we had a great group and in the evening got to know/ get drunk with each other.

A wonderful way to see Sapa if you're short on time. You walk through several villages and see how they sustain life. Overnight in a homestay and hike to a bamboo forest and waterfall the next day. Finish off with lunch at the homestay before heading out. May was a great guide. The experience in Sapa deserves 5 stars. The bus transport is a 1 start. missing star. The lack of communication in pickup/dropoff and expectations during transport is really a damper. It'd would've been nice to know that the bus makes two pit stops both ways. The bus driver may or may not be strict on time during these stops. The bus picks up others along the way where they sit on the floor. Not only that, they could also drop off personal items at multiple places. This was a huge downside to getting back to the dropoff location.

A great option for an active trip. Really good bus (comfy, solid WiFi throughout, helpful driver) and good organisation - as soon as we arrived in Sapa, we were welcomed by our guide Lala who made sure we had an enjoyable hike to Ta Van and a comfortable stay at the home stay. Good food and a really nice communal dinner, followed by a healthy night's sleep in the well-maintained home. The next day, a nice hike through the rice fields and back to Sapa, followed by the enjoyable way back to Hanoi.

Great Experience - 2D1N Sapa hike

Sapa hike was great. First day spent 4 hours walking and was not too difficult. Next morning was a little tough with steep upwards slippery slope. Guide was good but didn’t like one of the village ladies (3 followed trip) who demanded that we must buy something from her. Didn’t like the feeling of being threatened. Perhaps better not take these village ladies along with visitors or that they should not insist/demand that we MUST buy from her 😳🙄 Homestay was good too though we had 2 invited guests in room - 2 Hugh cockroaches 😓. 2 lunch/1 dinner/1 breakfast were also great 😊. Homestay owners were friendly too.

Our guide Lala was amazing! She took care of us, brought us to visit her family at her house and shared great stories on the culture and history of her village. Once in a lifetime adventure!

Breathtaking views of the rice fields. Great group of people to hangout with at the homestay. Homestay was basic, but it had everything that one may need.

The loacl guide was a lovely lady and made the trip so much better! The home stay was also lovely, such a homely feel and welcoming. Would definately recommend to friends.
