Mares agitados
, feb 2020
The Friday harbor/ whale watching tour
, nov 2019
The trip was on time, the packing availability was on point, weather was so gd and the sea was calm for a very smooth sail. The only issue was there wasn't enough opportunity for an up close observation.
Great trip!

Our trip was amazing. We saw a lot of sea life and our guides were informative and kind. Food was good and relatively cheap. A little crowded, so if your looking to get a lot closer to sea life and like your space, a smaller boat is the way to go, but if you like comfort and the ability to eat and drink, this is the company to book with!!
Clipper Tours Are Awesome

Check in early and grab a bite to eat at their cafe. Boarding starts 45 min before. Visitor website is easy to use and the rates were great, however, you will not be able to check in a week early and get a boarding pass like the people who book through Clipper directly.

Disappointing ! We booked to observe orcas but we finally only saw two whales from very far away. Exorbitant price for the service
Wpouldn't do this again

9+ hours of boat travel for approx. 15 mins of Orca watching. And the boats weren't allowed to get within 200 yds of the whales. We did get to see them though!
Fun Day

The round trip was long, arrived Seattle at 8 a.m. and didn't return until 8:30 p.m. We took the 6:30 a.m. ferry from Bremerton so were up very early. I would suggest staying in Seattle if possible although we couldn't afford the added expense. Also, it would be nice if there were more chairs facing the windows instead of tables and benches that are perpendicular to the windows.

This is a really nice trip - the scenery is beautiful and Friday Harbor is a great place to spend an afternoon if you decide you don't want to go out whale watching the whole afternoon. The clipper is comfortable and serves beer and wine. So glad we did this.
Good activity if you can’t walk long distances.

There isn’t any heat on the boat, so dress warm. The scenery is magnificent and the narration is Excellent. We saw whales and the water wasn’t rough. The hot chowder served for lunch was really good.
San Juan Whale trip
, jul 2019
Spent 12 hours on this trip, saw our first whale before we left the harbor near Seattle, About 45 minutes out of port we had a medical emergency, a passenger was having heart trouble, so we returned to the dock and he was taken to hospital, The crew handled this situation very professional, we were offered a 25% refund because our trip plans were changed. After all of this we saw whales on the Canadian side of the border and the weather was perfect. We had a good lunch at the DownRigger Rest. Would Recommend this trip.
