You have to love what you do otherwise it wouldn't be joyful for you and this goes double for the hospitality business.
My two tour guides - peyton (olympic national park) and clay (mt rainer) absolutely love what they do and it shows. Kudos for evergreen escapes for finding such talented people.
Different food options were exquisite and sourced locally - trail snacks, cookies, coffee and lunch- salad, pasta and chicken w/ local red wine was fulfilling and esp important on the second day after the hike.
Day one with peyton was fun - he has a collection of dad jokes, corny jokes and fun family friendly cringe worthy jokes, car games which made the car ride so fun. The tour itself was gorgeous, weather was cooperative - it only rained long enough for us to scramble to put on our rain jackets and it stopped.
The hike was mild, lunch delicious, waterfall breathtaking, forest hike tranquil.The group was amazing as well. All in all well worth the time and money though we could have spent longer on the hike - it doesn't take away anything.
Day 2 with Clay was comparatively strenuous as the group as a whole decided we wanted a longer and higher hike experience which ended up being a 2.5 hour, 5.5 mile hike with 1250 ft elevation. We had fun deciphering what mushrooms,birds and animals we saw and on the ride back - everyone got a quick shut eye… Leer más
