Ubicado cerca de la isla San Cristóbal, León Dormido toma aproximadamente una hora para llegar en bote desde Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. El sitio solo se puede visitar en barco y los visitantes deben ir acompañados de un guía.
Leon Dormido is a rock formation located off the southwestern coast of San Cristóbal island, about 18 miles (30 kilometers) northeast of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Expect about an hour in the boat. Only guided tours are allowed here.
Leon Dormido is a year-round world-class destination. From June to November, you may have more likelihood of spotting white-tip and hammerhead sharks. The water is the warmest between January and June.
Along the coast, directly opposite Leon Dormindo, is a beautiful protected cove and lookout point. One of the best snorkeling locations in the archipelago, it’s possible to come here independently without a guide. Here, you may swim with sea lions, sea turtles, and hundreds of different fishes. Bike or walk from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on well-paved paths, and climb to the top of the hill, through a forest of palo santo trees, for a panoramic view.
