This was the worst tour I have ever...
Jabeen B
, feb 2018
This was the worst tour I have ever taken I have traveled in 75 countries in my life. The guides could not be bothered with us at all. Besides not even telling us after we arrived at the center what was going on, or where to go, they never really spoke to use on the entire trip. So outside of using GPS on my phone, we were never told where we were, what we were seeing or anything about the islands, its sights etc. Worst of all, my buggy was too big for me I am 5'2. they got me a pillow, and i spent most of the trip so concentrated on not losing control because i could barely reach the petals and worried, sometimes downright panicked on sandy tracks, going fast - this was not safe, especially because it was really windy. I found out later there were buggies where the seat moved forward - but they just could not be bothered. At lunch, the guides sat together and left us to our own devices, never speaking to us - except of course to tell us that only certain thing on the menu were included in the price. the only person that bothered to speak to me at all from the staff was the nice Italian that picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off. I would not recommend this tour with this company. And as i am a journalist writing a travel article, i certainly won't compliment it in my article either. Let me put it this way: I could not wait until it was over. It's a shame because Lanzarote is a beautiful island, and a buggy is a nice way to see it, and on every prior trip, i wanted to take this tour. But the only reason that i knew what we were seeing or anything about it is because i have explored this island three times in a car on prior trips, and i had read up on places, and visited them before. Most of all, I feel really lucky that i didn't get hurt or hurt anyone. What a waste of 150 euros.

Not enough information was given, didn’t mention about driving license so I left them in hotel. Soon as I get in to the bus driver refused to wait for me until I bring license and just left without me that’s how I lost 100 pounds.

A great experience to try and to see different parts of the island that you wouldn't normally see..I recommend this experience 100 and also some moto-x goggles and some sort of mouth covering as it is a dusty experience but it's awesome..I will be doing this again I enjoyed it so much..I did the 5 hour tour..

Such a great experience! Mattao was hilarious, informative and safety minded. Lanzarote is such an amazing and strange landscape, what better way to be see it then by 4 wheeler. My husband and I did the 3 hour tour and it was the perfect length of time to zip along the ocean, see some salt minds, and then head up towards the volcanoes. This is a trip that is meant for the physically strong though. My husband did all the driving, even though I have used 4 wheelers on horse farms in the past. Some of the areas were quite rocky and angular and I dont think I would have had the strength to keep us on the path. Highly recommend!

They picked u up, but once u arrived at their location to start the tour no one greets u or communicates with u what's happening next. The tour guys were arguing the entire tour amongst each other. Once we got back from the tour, they took over an hour to take us back to our hotel. Zero communication

This was a great tour! It was a lot of fun. The only negative was that the tour wasn't 100 off-road but we had enough time off-road to make time for it. I would recommend it!

Billed as an exhilarating off-road...

Billed as an exhilarating off-road adventure, I had expectations of a fun filled, adrenaline pumping adventure across the baron, volcanic landscape of Lanzarote Instead, we trundled through paths of rocks at an average speed of 17km/h. At one point we had to accelerate to pass a couple jogging hardly adrenaline-pumping. The tour was supposed to last 3 hours it didnt. It was just shy of this time despite the guide killing time at each stop by telling the same story with three different iterations. The tour description advises that we would visit a beach we didnt. Instead we visited an area near a salt production that is popular with the locals looking to spend quality time with their families In actual fact, we visited a rundown caravan site with a newly constructed deck and wall that acts as a wind break The tour description also advised that we would be picked up from Puerto Del Carmen, where we were staying, however, we received an email advising that we would need to make our own way to the meeting point some 30KM away from where we were staying My expectations of a Viator arranged excursion are high given your global presence and reputation. I believe that the tour fell well short of what it should have been. Thankfully, we have been refunded 50 of the trip cost.

You really have to give this a go...
Angela A

You really have to give this a go! We are both in our sixties and I have to admit I was a little dubious about a buggy trip but it was great fun and a wonderful morning. We were away from the busy tourist spots and driving through beautiful countryside seeing the areas not visited by the tourist buses. We were taken to beaches the locals visit and our guide was keen to show us the things he loved about Lanzarote. We were picked up very punctually from our hotel and driven to the area the tour takes place, the buggy was great fun to drive although a little bumpy but that just added to the enjoyment. A really enjoyable morning!
