Enjoyed this discovery tour of Oslo. Very informative guide. Plenty of time in museums. Lots of walming but manageable evenif for me. Good pace.

Our guide, Helene, was terrific. She gave us all sorts of good information and explained in great detail what we were seeing. We certainly enjoyed her jokes, too. The ski jump was amazing and had time to really check it out. We enjoyed the Viking museum. It’s amazing how they uncovered the ships and they’re so well preserved. The Fram was unbelievable. To think you are standing on the very ship that explored the north and south poles!! The Viegland sculpture garden was a marvel and enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour!
Worthwhile Oslo city tour

Very worthwhile bus tour with an informative guide. Much less expensive than the cruise line shore excursion.

Only had one day to see Oslo sights so this was a great way to see some of the main ones and our tour guide was excellent and very informative. Recommend that you book the fjord cruise in combination with this tour rather than separately as we did. It puts you on a nicer ship and is timed to coincide with the end of the bus tour. We didn't know that and booked it separately but our tour guide was kind enough to arrange a switch to the sailing vessel. Vessel does not use sails. Be prepared for it to be chilly on the water.
Great tour!

The tour guide was excellent. She was a great story teller and very engaging. At times I felt like I was being rushed but found the tour to be a great overview of the city.
Excellent Oslo day!

We took a mini-cruise over from Copenhagen, so only had about a 6 hour window in Oslo. This tour crammed in so many wonderful aspects we already want to go back. The sculptures in Vigeland Park were amazing, reminiscent of Rodin's and Michelangelo's work that we've seen in Paris and Florence, but with so much emotion! We didn't really have a good understanding of what the Fram museum was until we got there. It's a museum building built around (literally built around the dimensions of) a ship. The name of the ship is actually The Fram, and it's the one Amundsen took to the South Pole. Most of the museum is devoted to extensive displays about this and the Fram's other 2 amazing exploratory expeditions. Visitors actually get to walk on and through this real historical vessel. The Viking Ship Museum is very small, but in the world of viking history has world renowned artifacts. The best preserved viking ships that are in existence, and referenced in college courses and textbooks. Holmenkollen alpine area is a nice physical contrast to the art and history of other stops. It's cool to actually see a biathlon arena in real life, not just on t.v. during the olympics. The same with the ski jump, in real life it is incredibly high and steep. Not sure what these Scandinavians were thinking when they first devised this sport!
A Quick Oslo Overview

Very informative guide provided continuous commentary. Time spent at Holmenkollen and Vigeland were frustratingly short. Other aspects were well paced.
