Good tour, Elton our guide was extremely knowledgeable. The down side was where we went for Dim Sum lunch. We were told not to use the toilets because they were not clean but the restaurant was also not very clean. we didn't enjoy the lunch experience at all.

This is a walking tour of the island and is not suited to the elderly particular in the heat. We could not fault our guide who was very caring when we realised it was a walking tour. She was very flexible and as we were the only ones she was very happy to walk as far and as slow as we wanted. The pirates cave was a non event. All we saw was a pile of rocks at the bottom of a cliff but the walk there and back was pleasant due to a cool sea breeze. The walk through the village was informative if so what depressing in terms of cleanliness and living conditions. Our beach walk was disappointing in terms of the large amount of rubbish on the beach and in the water which no one seemed to care about. The lunch at the hotel was ok with our guide selecting dishes she thought we would like to try. We were appalled by the standard of cleanliness in the hotel dining room. The table cloth was dirty and the chairs were caked in grime. Our guide was excellent but this tour wasn't for us.

This is a relaxed but very enjoyable tour that starts with a half hour ferry ride from Hong Kong harbour. The two of us were the only customers on the day and our tour guide, Daniel, was able to give us unobtrusive but personal service. He also shared interesting insights about what it is like living in Hong Kong. The tour is entirely on foot apart from a ride on a sampan as there are no cars on the island. But this is not an issue as the island is tiny. It has a charming harbour, a lovely beach and some rocky headlands. The Dim Sum lunch was excellent and our guide made sure the vegetarian in the party was well catered for. We would recommend this tour if you have had a hectic time enjoying Hong Kong and are looking for a relaxed but interesting day to chill out.

Yes, this was a walking tour in a downpour, during a T3 typhoon, but despite the weather and our wetness, the tour itself was not that great. The temple was under construction, quite small, and not much to see. The cave was a literally a pile of rocks you can't enter, or see the cave. The dim sum lunch was unremarkable, we had better dim sum in Hong Kong, and our guide had to wash all of our utensils and cups in hot water before serving, so it didn't make it seem like the hotel's cleanliness was reputable. The commentary during the tour was sparse, and generally repetitive, often repeating word for word what was easily read in english on signs with no additional commentary or insights. The pace was slow, the food was mediocre, the sights were misleading. The only good parts of the tour was the small boat ride out to the caves. Yes, there were cockroaches on the boat, but that just made it a little more authentic!

Great tour, fantastic tour guide who gave a very comprehensive talk along the way. A little gem of an island that I did not know about but was so very glad to have taken this tour. Great lunch at the hotel which the guide took the time to find out what we liked and did not like to eat and then ordered for us. An interesting tour to take.
