Worthwhile visit whilst in Siem Reap

Half-Day Kompong Phluk, Tonle Sap Lake from Siem Reap | janv. 2020
Booked this trip for seven of us for the afternoon trip. The guide,Phy, was very good and looked after the group very well. We visited during dry season so the fishing village on stilts was on dry land. Still, extremely interesting. Not sure about the offered trip into the mangrove swamp with loacal lady paddling - as soon as we were in the trees we were greeted by boats of other locals trying to sell us drinks and snacks. The lake, Tonle Sap was perfect setting for the sunset followed by the mad dash of all tourist boats racing to get back to dry land. All in all, worthwhile.

A good experience, but expensive.

Full-Day Phnom Penh City Tour with S21 and Killing Field and the Royal Palace | oct. 2019
We enjoyed this tour very much to the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, S21 Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields. Our tour guide was Lay who was awesome. She was one of the best guides you could hope for and was world class. Our transport too was comfortable. Lay really knew her history and as it was only my wife and I on this tour, Lay answered the many questions we had at all of the sights and she was kind enough to take several pictures for us. My only complaint was the cost. At AUD $198.00 for two people, that was the cost for transport and the tour guide which is very high compared to a temples tour in Siem Reap for the whole day which only cost around AUD $55.00 for the 2 of us. With both tours we paid for all entry fees. I can see why tourist numbers are down for this tour based on this extravagant price. Had the van been full the tour operator would've made 5 times our ticket price for cheap transport costs and I am sure, the low wage that a tour guide would get.

My great guide to the killing fields tour Mr.. Senh

Full-Day Phnom Penh City Tour with S21 and Killing Field and the Royal Palace | mai 2019
The tour guide that was on the tour with us was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. I understood every word he said and was amazed that he had never been to the U.S. He spoke English as good as me. His knowledge of the history off Cambodia and the killing fiends was simply amazing and he really was the professor of the tour. I enjoy listening to every word he said and I was just amazed how thorough his knowledge of all of the problems at the killing friends were. A very amazing man our guide was his name is Mr. Senh.

Phnom Penh Dinner Cruise

Phnom Penh Dinner Cruise | mai 2019
The cruise itself was good. The staffs were friendly and very helpful. The driver that picked us up from the hotel Mr Kimtan, I think that's what he told me when I asked for his name, even came on the boat with us. He was very helpful in making sure my husband can get on the boat okay as he is 65yrs old. Also, the staffs on the boat were very helpful in letting my husband on and off the boat. The only issue I have when we sat on the table the waiter asked us if we want something to drink. He gave us a menu of drinks. I looked at the sodas no price attached next to it. I assumed it was included on the dinner. The alcoholic beverages has prices on them. It was my fault I did not ask. But the waiter should have informed us that soda is not included on the dinner, only bottled water. There was no mention of bottled water so I thought soda came with it. It was a surprised at the end of the dinner a can of soda was $3. So if you go on this cruise, make sure to ask bottled water if you don't want to pay $3 on a can of soda. They served cold foods which are not appetizing at all. It was only the rice that was hot on their entree. Everything was cold just like the salad, followed by a cold bbq on the stick I think it was chicken and very dry. The chicken curry was a little bit warm. No thank you on their food. The cruise itself was fun and relaxing. I gave then 3 rating on the food but I give them 5 the cruise itself.

Service was great but Viator description of this tour is lacking

Full-Day Phnom Penh City Tour with S21 and Killing Field and the Royal Palace | mai 2019
The service provided by our guide and driver was superb. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable. We had a slight confusion at the start because we thought this was an all-in tour. It turns out, admission fees are not included in this package (and lunch, despite what some of the reviews describe). This is basically a car hire and guide service. We followed the written itinerary, but you can customize this by replacing one site with another (we could’ve skipped the National Museum with $10 admission for a trip to Wat Phnom). Great service by the local tour agency, lousy description here in Viator.

Tourist trap!

Full-Day Phnom Kulen Waterfall National Park Tour from Siem Reap | janv. 2019
This tour is a waste of time, energy and money! To arrive to those locations takes at least 1h30 min - one way, and you arrive at the park and you see a river! Thats it! Afterwards, you go to a temple and you see just locals trying to ask for money from tourists while they are surrounded by garbages! The 3 rd place- the water fountain is just as crowded as possible and are two small places, no infrastructure and just more garbages. The guide will have a break for lunch and the “restaurant” its a nasty place! At the end you are requested for tips- on the way back... again at least 1h30min! So, don’t waste your time and energy with this tour!

Excursion Koh Ker and Beng Mealea Day Tour | oct. 2018
2 hours worth driving from Siem reap and it's amazing! G1 our tour guide is very conscientious to view sites when there is no crowd. He gave us time to enjoy the sites which is nice. He is also well-prepared as there was an unexpected heavy rain & he brought umbrellas for us to use. He is prompt to pick us up and drop us off safely to our hotel. Great experience!
