What a fascinating Schlemmertag! We took an all-day tour to the Atherton Tableland, lush farmland on volcanic plains ringed by mountains or drier countryside with pale young eucalypts. So different from the coastal rainforest. Rich breakfast with sweet dragon fruit and three other varieties of tart local fruits including lilypilly and Davidson plum. A coffee plantation - we learnt how they harvested the beans. Distillery for lunch - Lemon myrtle gin and a prizewinning rum and a smooth single malt. Gallo cheeses - Misty Mountain the best, sharp and crumbly. Intense peppermint chocolate truffle and other chocolate to enjoy. Humpy Nut World macadamias. Mango farm with mango wines. Dale was an astonishingly informative guide. A marvellous complement to the Daintree Rainforest trip a week earlier.
TASTE A VARIETY OF LOCAL DELIGHTS!

My husband and I had a wonderful day tasting the local produce of the Atherton Tablelands. Dale, our guide was very informative and made sure that our day ran smoothly. Our favourite places were Jaques Coffee Plantation, Gallo Dairyland and The Humpy. We tasted some local fruits, Indigenous Damper, Macadamia Nut Butter, Macadamia Nuts, Coffee Temptation(alcoholic), Coffee Liqueur, Vodka, Gin, cheese, chocolate, Mango Wines, Mango Sparkling, Mango Port, Fortified Liqueur Style Citrus Cellos and Mango Sorbet. We were both filled to the brim by the end of the day and had very little to eat for dinner. I accidentally dropped my husband's woollen jumper out of my bag and left it on the mini-bus. After telephoning Brett's Outback Tours, the jumper was thankfully located and dropped off to the Reception of where we were staying.

Very informative tour and a great way to learn more about the Atherton Tablelands region. Indulging in a variety of food and wine was a bonus. Small group, well organised, visiting places you would otherwise not know about or could drive past. The beauty of a tour is getting the background information and our guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions about history, current events, the landscape etc. A full day, visiting some 6-7 different places, providing a different view of the area. Recommended tour.

very informative information in regards to the area visited by tour guide. You need to be made aware that the pizza for lunch is really only a one person serve. I would inform friends that this tour is worthwhile.

Brett was extremely informative, friendly and passionate. Perhaps some of the products could be improved or altered to suit a higher end clientele, however we were certainly provided a diverse overview of the Tablelands!
