We were on the swim with turtles, snorkel, shipwreck, beach day in Barbados. If it wasn’t a relatively inexpensive excursion we would have been more disappointed. This was billed as a glass bottom boat excursion. technically the boat had somewhat of a glass-bottom although the glass was probably only a few feet in diameter. The boat only took us a few hundred yards offshore where we snorkelled (with no fins) with the sea turtles for about 30 minutes then cruised another 1/2km or so and snorkelled above a shipwreck. Not much to see in either case. We then spent a couple hours on a very crowded Carlisle beach. Our fee did include a couple of lounge chairs and an umbrella. Not much of an excursion but for the price we paid, an ok day.
Very professional service with prompt arrival and pick up for return trip in a quality minibus. Guides were keen to ensure everyone had the best chance to spot a turtle. We also saw a stingray and the fish at the ship wreck were beautiful.
My husband and I as well as the couple we travelled with all really enjoyed this experience! The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. The equipment was all extremely clean and well maintained. Lastly, the cost was very reasonable. We would do this again for sure.
We saw the turtles up close and the shipwreck plus schools of colourful fish. Particularly thankful to Ron for taking good care of the old guy - even towed me over to where the turtles were so I wouldn't miss them! Thanks to the whole crew. Definitely recommend.
We took our chances taking this Tour in Barbados. Tour was organized by Glory Tours. There were many people in the tour and I feel they needed to be a bit more organized with the beginning of the tour. The bus had no A/C and looked quite old but that did not bother me as the windows were open and I do enjoy the Caribbean breeze. I was a short ride from the cruise terminal and the driver did tell us things about Barbados on the way to Pirates Cove. The cruise was with Tranquility Cruises. The staff at Tranquility Cruises were amazing. We did not care for the glass bottom. You have to get in the water and snorkel. I do not swim and had never snorkeled before and they were amazing helping me get in the water. I say at least two turtles and also saw the shipwreck with many colorful tropical fish, I had rum punch at the end of the snorkeling and again at the beach. My 10 yr old daughter thinks the snorkeling was the highlight of entire vacation.Price was excellent too. I think it was a bargain price for the experience we received. All the other tours I booked especially the ones through the cruise line were way pricier. Glory tours needs to get a bit better organized and the bus was dated which did not bother me but the experience was so good that I do give it 5 stars.
Very organized tour and lots of communication. Very easy to find in cruise terminal, followed the instructions on where to meet. Our driver was so sweet, the vehicle was very clean and well air conditioned. The boat cruise was VERY nice and was always checking in with everyone in regards to being safe in the water, etc. My only dislike was the number of boats/people that were in the water snorkeling. We were there during spring break, so I guess it is expected. A great time.
Was an amazing excursion, the snorkel on the tranquility was beautiful. The beach and water at Pirates Cove Barbados were great, the free wifi offered was a little sketchy but who needs wifi in this beautiful location.
Excellent trip and amazing value for money. Two snorkelling stops, one to see turtles, and another over a wreck which was fantastic. Drinks on board the boat after the snorkelling. Then beach time at Pirates Cove, including a voucher for another drink. Excellent guide, who was particularly helpful with children on the trip and less confident swimmers. Highly recommended!
Awesome trip... unfortunately only saw a stingray and a small turtle but the experience was nice. The snorkeling location is a popular spot so it was very crowded with other tours. We were practically on top of each other, bunch up together. The Shipwreck was a great experience buy heads up - there seem to be jellyfish tentacles in the water above the shipwreck. Got stung/itching sensation several times. couldn't figure out what it was until later. Great tour guides... made sure we were safe and took extreme care of the little ones.
