Our Fast Track introduction to the above sites was enhanced greatly by our guide Alexandra who was a fund of knowledge. She kept us all well informed and interested. The weather was extremely hot so she found us shady areas and discussed the backgrounds of the Sistine Chapel Treasures.
Wish I had had a guide

I paid for what I thought was a guided tour. We were taken past the line, definitely fast pass, however once inside we were left to our own devices. Worked out ok as I found another American to walk with. The Vatican is amazing. It is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. For several reasons. First being that many people will not have the opportunity to ever see the Vatican. The second being that I honestly wouldn't do it again. It's beautiful granted, but too crowded. I understand that so many people want the experience however, by the time I got to the Sistine Chapel I was overheated and being diabetic my sugar was too low to even enjoy. If I ever do it again I would bring frozen bottles of water and some juice. Don't recommend for kids. Alot of walking. An amazing experience for sure but a guide would have been helpful to know what I was looking at.
Too many people to be enjoyable

Sadly, there are just too many people in this museum for it to be a good experience. We literally shuffled along for hours and while the sights and exhibits were incredible, I'm not sure it was worth being herded like cattle from room to room. Also, it's super weird how there is this huge middle man market where you have to use a guide to get in instead of everything being owned by the Vatican itself. With a do-over, I would have scheduled this months ago through the official Vatican channel and then hopefully have had more flexibility to go through at our pace.

Skipping the line is essential and this tour delivered on that front very well despite the massed hoards also trying to get in. The meeting point is easy to find, staff friendly and efficient. Once inside you are left to your own devices which is appropriate for this sort of event. I was pleasantly surprised at the diversity of the collection (or at least the tiny fraction we saw) Etruscan collection is intriguing, likewise the Map Room. The massive crowd in the Sistine chapel waving selfie stick etc did not make for a deeply moving spiritual experience, but there was a well observed call for silence and a short prayer that did help.

We had reserved a “skip the line” for the Vatican tour months ago & arrived in plenty of time. At the office we were offered for 20additional euros to go with a guide & have access to St Peters basilica. The tour left 15 min late then joined with lots of other people - sporadically - just joining groups haphazardly then we waited for over an hour as the tour leader did not realize she needed paper tickets for us to gain access. It was so crowded we could not keep up with the guide & often our ear phones were picking up other tour groups talks. It was a miserable experience & in no way did arranginging tour ahead of time save us time. The tour director constantly apologized as multiple tours headed in ahead of us but no compensation was made. I would not use this service again nor would I recommend it to anyone.
Lots to see

Could have spent the whole day here. There is a lot to see. Lots to see in the museums and the art galleries. The sistine Chapel was smaller than expected and needs time to take it all in. Finally ending up in St Paul's basilica. We'll worth the money and the advance ticket saved a massive queue. If queueing go very early.

This museum is a must see when you're in Rome. We opted for walking trough without a guide so we were able to take our time and linger where we wanted and rush through where we wanted. The ancient statues were amazing to see. My favorite was the display of the ancient statutes that were taken from the Pantheon. The tour service itself was ok. They provided exactly what was paid for. The only hiccup we experienced was that our time was scheduled for 1 pm but when we showed up we were scheduled for 1:30 pm.
A waste of money!

We visited on the 2nd May, our time slot was 2.45. Our guide joined us outside the vatican museum 20 minutes late. We then queued for over an hour to get in (fastrack?) Once inside we again waited for our tickets. By the time we started our tour it was after 4pm. We were herded through the museums in a wave of people at times there were so many people that if anyone had tripped there would have been an accident possibly a fatal one. There was no time to stop and look at anything and eventually after all the crushing and rushing we made it to the Sistine Chapel just before it closed so again we were given no time to see anything and certainly no time to admire what is clearly a wonderful attraction. While understanding that the crowds are outside the tour operators control my advice to any visitor is save your money - buy a good book with pictures of the Sistine chapel and Vatican museum treasures to look at at your leisure. Spend your time queuing in St. Peters Square (about an hour) for the basilica (no entry charge) it is definitely worth the wait and you can take your time viewing.
it was a great way to see the museum...

it was a great way to see the museum and sistine chapel, with a self-guided tour, though the day we went it doesn't appear that there was really much need for to skip the line. but still helped us get in in an efficient manner.
