I had a great time on this tour. It was my first night in Barcelona and I was alone. There were about 8 women on the tour and we all had a great time. Our younger male guide was very enthusiastic and so much fun, he was kind and respectful and full of life. He took us to enjoy the true tapas experience and taught us about the various foods and how to eat them, and then we went to the flamenco show. I enjoyed it.
Mercedes was our tour guide and she was fantastic. She made the evening so enjoyable and fun and would recommend places to visit and eat during your visit to Barcelona. This tour is best taken within the first few days of your visit, and we highly recommend it. We visited 3 different restaurants where the food and drinks were great in all three places. We ended the night with the Flamenco show-which was fantastic, especially since we sat right in front. The dancers were all fabulous, along with the guitar player and singers in the background. This tour is highly recommended, book this now!
The tapas part was very good and we visited several restaurants and tried some really good tapas, sangrias and wine. The Flamenco Show however was very disappointing. It was more like a concert with very little flamenco dancing. Out of the 30 minutes show there were barely 7 minutes of dancing. The dancers were sitting most of time clapping to the music instead of performing.
This tour was the highlight of my time in Barcelona. It is definitely a good idea to have a local show you around. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and he recommended and provided an array of delicious tapas. I would definitely recommend this tour. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed it.
The tapas tour was excellent. We went to three different locations and our tour guide gave us a lot of interesting information about the origin of tapas and how they varied by region. The Flamenco show was so-so. The venue was very small and it was difficult to see the stage from our seats in the back.
Tour was OK, but a lot of the promises in the tour description are not correct. For example the Flamenco Show only offered drinks if you purchased them, they packed you into a hot small room which unless you were in the front two rows you had no chance of seeing the show, and the show started late and ended early. Our guide was in a rush to leave us at the final stop since he had a tour scheduled for the next morning.
