The tour was well-conducted by Linda Sun Ling Ling, our guide. She is very well-informed about the various places we visited and allowed us plenty of time to look around and ask questions. She also helped us take photographs whenever we asked.
A great tour was made even better by Sally, our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions about the places we went – and about life in China in general. We went during the very busy Golden Week Holiday. Sally timed everything perfectly to avoid the worst of the crowds. This tour is a must for people visiting Beijing.
our tour guide Joyce met us at our hotel, sweet lady and very knowledgeable about her Chinese culture and history. beware, the first week of October is a national holiday and all tourist attractions are packed with people, traffic jams going to the great wall and long lines to get into attractions. Amazingly, Joyce found us short cuts to get into the forbidden palace. Lunch was delicious, our driver Mr Wu negotiated every obstacle with precision, both of them were very patient with us.
Sherry did a phenomenal job throughout the day! We were only in Beijing for one day so we needed to make the most of it and this tour was perfect. We joked that having Sherry taking photos of us throughout was money well spent right there since we never get photos together. She was much more than that - kind, funny, and knowledgeable. It's so much better to have a tour guide explain the significance of a site, picture, or even positioning. There were so many things would have gone unnoticed had we not had someone to guide us. The Great Wall was obviously a highlight of the trip. There were so few people there! Tip: download the app Retouch and you can remove people/objects from your photo and make it really look like you're alone on the wall. A great tour, thank you!
I have nothing but excellent marks for this Tour and the Tour guide. The sites were awesome and my tour guide Lily was fantastic! I couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable person. Lily was on time and she guided me through the crowds with ease. I had already gone to another section of the Great Wall and this section is by far the better of the 2. Lily's english was perfect and I had tons of questions and she answered them all. I was traveling with a group and this was the "free day" but after spending time with Lily, I wanted to tour with her for the rest of the visit. :-) This tour will not disappoint and she even took me to a locals restaurant for lunch and the food was. . . . you guessed it, EXCELLENT! Thanks Lily for making Beijing a memorable experience for me!
If you have just one day to take a tour in Beijing, this is the one. You will hit all the big highlights. Make sure to get SHERRY! She is extremely knowledgeable. You will learn a lot about these sites, as well as the culture of China. I really appreciated that Sherry was so flexible with the schedule and was also willing to go the extra mile to help me with some additional questions I had. Make time for this tour -- you will be glad you did it!
This was the best tour ever! Linda was our tour guide. She was so knowledgeable, friendly and very professional. We loved the Mutianyu Great Wall less crowded, especially taking the ride down the Mutianyu Toboggan was a great bonus! Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, so beautiful and with so much history. Linda took us for lunch, and it was the best Chinese food we have ever had. We highly recommend this tour and Linda as your tour guide.
