From pickup to return, my experience with Cape Peninsula tour was absolutely amazing. We were able to see all of the amazing views with options to stop and take photos. Touring with the guide allowed us to have quick access to the Penguin Colony at Boulder Beach. The icing on the cake was the wildlife sightings at the Cape of Good Hope. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the tour. I highly recommend this.
I booked the above small group tour from Kabura Travel. I was very pleased with our guide Duntan (name may not be fully correct) who is very professional in discharging his duty both as the guide and driver. He is always smiling and high-spirited despite facing some hitch-ups along the way (problem apparently lies with the company giving the clients and guide-cum-driver different sets of timing for pick-up).
After the little hiccup of being picked up an hour late, the trip was great. The guide was knowledgeable about both flora and fauna, as well as the nature. There were many little stops for pics, but he asked before stopping, to make sure at least someone wanted to stop. All in all a nice day with dramatic scenery and nice guide.
Surprisingly, I was the sole member of an all day tour of the peninsula. My guide Barnabas was knowledgeable, flexible and charming without being cloying. He did his very best to provide me with plenty of photo opportunities of beautiful scenery and animals, as well as to give me an insider’s perspective of all things South African. It couldn’t have been a better day.
The weather was extremely foggy in the morning, and I feel that the company should have let us know. It would have given us the option of opting out of the sightseeing tour, if possible. However, throughout the day, the weather improved, and all of the excursions planned were worth it. The penguin visit and Cape Point were particular highlights. In addition, the Two Oceans restaurant at Cape Point was outstanding, particularly for a tourist trap. I would recommend going on this sightseeing tour with some reservation, as listed above.
Wow this tour was unreal.... hats off to Alain and Joseph, they were fantastic. Joesph was our tour guide for the day, very friendly and knowledgable guy, lovely person to spend the day with and learn about the country. Highly recommend this tour, thank you so much for our great day out.
This was a terrific tour, and our guide was helpful, knowledgeable and fun to be with for the day. Would recommend this tour to anyone hoping to get a glimpse at the peninsula. The penguins were awesome!
