Great day touring several different wineries! Terry was an awesome guide and had a ton of interesting stories, he was also very knowledgeable about wine and the area. The wine and cheese pairing at Fairview was a highlight! Only point of constructive feedback is around the schedule. We would have one departure time communicated, but were behind all day. (Not a huge deal, as it gave us more time to enjoy the beautiful countryside!)
It was a very nice day. the wineries were very nice, with a good selection of wine. Our guide, Nicholas, was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. The lunch was also very good. Overall, it was and excellent outing.
Nick was amazing, this is the way to do a wine tour, everything was inclusive from pickup and dropoff to a tour of four wineries and lunch at a fifth. We never felt rushed and had ample time to enjoy ourselves. Nick was very friendly and accommodating.
We were picked up at out hotel. As soon as the van was full about 12 people, we were on our way to a fabulous day! Bruce did an amazing job helping us feel comfortable and part of a cohesive group. He is extremely knowledgable and enjoyed answering our questions. We had generous tastings at four beautiful wineries that also were happy to indulge our interests in other things that weren't strictly on the tasting menu. Mid-day we were served a traditional South African luncheon at one of the wineries. With all that tasting, we appreciated the good meal! The ride itself was a treat, with spectacular scenery and even some wildlife.
This is a fantastic wine tour! The company picked us up from our hotel in City Centre within the 30 minute time frame they provided us. We picked up a couple more guests and were on our way 9 people total. Our driver Willem was fantastic and made the trip even better than it already was. He provided so much cool information/history about the area and wine and was hilarious. On our drive to the first winery, we stopped at a gas station for the ATM, snacks, and water which was perfect. We stopped at 4 great wineries that each had different and cool features to them. There was a good variation in wine as in MCC, white, red, Pinotage! so everyone was happy. It did rain that day, but it really did not change anything in the tour and everyone was so happy that the Cape region was finally getting some. Everything was covered for the wine tastings and lunch, which we did midway through the tour. The lunch was covered as well, so all you have to do is pay a tip. The additional pairings were really nice as well brandy and chocolate, cheeses with wine. We would definitely do this tour again if we make it back to Cape Town. Look no further and book this place!
This tour was a LOT of fun! The guide, Nick, was great and the group extraordinarily compatible. We all felt like friends at the end of the day. We visitied four wineries, with a very good lunch stop including wine, saw beautiful parts of the countryside and learned some of the history of the region. Highly recommended!
