Excursion d'une journée à Split au départ de Dubrovnik

Mixed thoughts on this.

We travelled 8 hours in total on the day to spend only 3 hours in Split!

I was really looking forward to visiting Split but disappointed by having a poor tour guide. The walking tour was cut to 1 hour rather 90 minutes and we were only given 3 hours altogether in Split instead of 5 hours.

Left me feeling extremely disappointed as the tour guide was very boring and not engaging. We weren't given enough time to explore as free time was reduced to under 2 hours and we had to take time out of that for lunch.

Now looking back it seems the tour company prefers to leave Split by a certain time latest 2.30/3pm and this dictates how long you get in Split rather than what you're sold in the tour description.

Great guide and driver. Definitely made the trip fun. I highly recommend.

It didn't happen. Both Viator and the local operator did not want to know. Monarch airline failed early 2nd October 2017, as a result I had to rebook flights. The earliest I could get was 3rd October 2017. I contacted viator and the local operator on 2nd October and they kept referring me to one another. As a result of which someone pocketed my 150 which I wanted to transfer to other trips.
I suggest you book with with other operators.

Other than the palace, there is not much to see. We did enjoy the marina and lunch. It was a long bus ride from Dubrovnik.

A long way for a relatively short period of time, but a lovely place to visit, have lunch and see the unique Roman remains still lived in to this day. Views from the cathedral bell tower were great. Our driver, Robert, was excellent - his spoken English was great and he explained lots about the history of Croatia and life there today as we went along.

La empresa local era nefasta. Contratamos un viaje en español y la chica había aprendido español viendo telenovelas por lo que no nos explicó nada sobre lo que veíamos. Cuando llegamos a Split el guía local era en inglés, la chica de la agencia dijo que nos lo iría traduciendo, menos mal que sé inglés, porque ella no tenía nivel de inglés para traducir y ni tan siquiera entendía las explicaciones. Estuvimos 2 horas y media en Split y 6 de viaje. En un vehículo en el que no le funcionaban los cinturones de seguridad, para más inri nos decían el conductor y la guía que les había tocado el coche que iba más despacio, no bajó de 130 km/h en carreteras limitadas a 90, y en la autovía iba a 180. He contratado muchas excursiones con viator y es la primera vez que me pasa esto, no entiendo cómo una empresa como viator trabaja con esta empresa que lo único que le preocupa es llegar cuanto antes al destino de regreso, llegamos una hora antes.

The trip there was good the driver talked to us because we were in the front with him didn't know you needed passports for this one would have been good to be told not our cup of tea but very popular place

This tour was amazing!

Fantastic tour. Tour guide 5 star. A little disappointed we only had 2 hours in split and looked at description of tour when got back to our hotel and it should have been longer so if you planning on going just be aware.
