Good trip, Essaouira, fantastic city along the ocean. The medina is different than that of Marrakech. Not the fast pace, pressure to buy or the constant pressure to so you there goods as in Marrakech. The fort is really neat, the old cannons, watchtower, you get the feel of an old port side fort. Nice outdoor restaurants and good selection of items, crafts, clothing to buy.
The Argon factory was a good break and a worthwhile place to see. I learned there is Argon Oil used as a culinary oil, which is excellent. My wife was happy to see the Goats In Tree, and hold a baby goat, I think that made her trip, as that was a hot topic when we went.
A downside was the guide/driver spoke English, however he was not polished enough to hold a conversation with rapid speaking Americans, so the conversation was limited, unless you paced your speech.
Be aware of the scamp artist, who want to trade you dollars for Dirhams. The rates seem great, however the bills are counterfeit. The scam, My friend game me this dollar, I can't use it here, going to the bank, so they trade you about the going rate or better. Thus saving you taking home Dirhams.
Good trip, makes for a slow paced day compared to Marrakech
