Like something you’ve never seen. How do people live in this environment? Hills are an understatement. Unreal but so is the beauty of this area. The aqua marine water is something to see. Wow! Coming from the east coast of the United State, I’ve never seen water this color before. Nestled on the cliff side, the houses were something to admire. The colors of the building really popped against the gray mountainside. Just imagine how people farm the side of a mountain……the determination. You’ve got to see it. This area will be burned into your mind. Definitely a “must do” tour!!
This was great trip. I walked between Montrossa and Vernassa I found this very tough the 1 hour is climbing up hill over rough rock and some steps but the amazing views made with worth it. We were advised by our guide this this would not be an easy hike. A great tour and the quick trip in to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa was well worth it. I would recommend this trip.
This was a nice tour. Being picked up and dropped off right at our hotel was wonderful. We took trains to get around Cinque Terre no boat or hiking, and it was good that we had a tour leader to get us on and off the train at the right spots. The tour is generally not informational-- there was little if any commentary on the sites or history. The locations are fun to see, though. We had delicious pasta at lunch. Be aware that the terrain in Cinque Terre is very steep. I would not recommend it for anyone with mobility issues.
Omg!! We had the best time ever with Luca. He was an amazing tour guide. He met our family of 4 and another family of 4 on time at our meeting spot. Our first stop was Pisa. The perfect time to go. Then we headed to Cinque Terre. Along the way he told us about the history of Italy and other facts on the way. Luca spent the entire day with all of us. My 7 year old daughter loved him. Still talks about him. He gave attention to both my kids as well as everyone that was in the group. My kids were able to take a quick swim as the other family walked around the town. We took a boat and 2 trains to get to each of the little villages. The villages are beautiful and full of color as well as people, souvenirs, restaurants and lots of Italian culture. Luca then brought us to this amazingly delicious restaurant for lunch. Seafood and pasta were fresh, along with fried fish that my kids could not stop eating. We had such a beautiful day for this trip. It's well worth the money. Our family loved this part of our Italy trip. Not everyone can say they swan in the Mediterranean Sea. I would definitely book tostpur again. The car ride was comfortable and the day was enjoyed by all, that everyone slept just about the entire way back to Florence. Thank you again Luca, for being such an awesome tour guide for our family.
This was a wonderful day trip from Florence. We were able to see the highlights. I would love to return for a longer stay. The guide was very knowledgeable of the areas and friendly. He helped with all the train and boat transfers which allowed us to spend more time seeing the area. Thanks for great memories.
First off our driver was not supplied with a microphone or any type of public address system in the van. There fore it was difficult to provide commentary while driving. The one other passenger that was with us sat in front and asked questions but those in the back and middle could not hear anything.
So I suggest the company provide microphones which can be used through the radio or install a PA system.
Upon arrival in Pisa the only information we got was meet me back here in 40 minutes. There was no information given about the town or the tower by our driver/Guide. We also had to ask for water which was provided.
The guide was good in changing the tour to start from the farthest town first and work our way back.
