Too short!!!! The trip was suppose to be a half day but it was only 1 and a half hour at Fatima with the tour guide taking a lot of that time. This was our first time to Fatima and traveled 3500 miles to get there.
This was very disappointing . The bus broke down and we had to wait for another bus from Lisbon. The primary reason for the visit was to have mass at the church indoors on the hill approx. six PM. However we were told that we had to be at the bus stop at 6.30PM. Having to leave the church due to this information I arrived to find the bus trip back to Lisbon had been postponed to 7 PM. Too late to go back to the church for mass. I
This was a very disappointing trip. The bus broke down just before Fatima. We had to wait until another bus was sent from Lisbon.
There was no mass being offered at the time we arrived. The day before I had been to Fatima but was unable to receive mass. It was half way through when we arrived but had already booked an additional trip primarily to have mass. There was no mass being held
when we arrived so I went to the church on the hill. I was seated in the church and one of the tourists on our trip informed me we had
to be at the bus stop at 6 :30 PM. When I arrived I was then informed it was delayed until 7 PM. Total waste of time and money.
We were in Lisbon and wanted to visit Fatima and the Sanctuary. We didn't have a full day so we chose this tour.
The bus was exactly where it was supposed to be, and it was a small, very nice 16 seat bus that transported us to Fatima, about an hour's drive. The guide was bi-lingual speaking in Portuguese and English, so we were well informed - albeit slowly!
There is really not that much to see that you would require a full day tour EXCEPT if you wanted to attend Mass at the Basilica. If that is the case, you could make it a full day or check ahead for the Mass times and see if it fits within your tours schedule.
Great value and almost door to door service. Much better than taking the train and doing it solo.
This "tour" is nothing but an expensive drive to the site. As a non-Catholic, I was surprised to find I know most of the information already (my partner is Catholic). A very anemic trip, no real info, late pick-up, only 75min to explore the site without a guide at all? Terrible rip off!!
We booked this tour with Cityrama. It was very disappointing. The guide who picked us up at our hotel was very unfriendly, almost rude. The guide who came with us on the bus to Fatima gave extremely limited information. It was generic info re the history of Fatima that is well known by most. When we arrived, she showed us the three main buildings and arranged to meet us about an hour and a half later, telling us that there were religious ceremonies available at 4-30pm. This cost us 110 euro as a couple and was way over priced. Because of the lack of information, it should simply have cost us the bus fair out and back. As we travelled, we spotted cork trees, olive groves and farming initiatives which we would very much have appreciated information about but none was forthcoming. The bus journey took an hour and 15 mins leaving plenty of time to explain the regions we passed through. We would not recommend this tour company's trip to this special place of pilgrimage. Tourists would be better organising their own way to visit Fatima.
Too expensive, and poorly organized. Made us wait nearly 20 min- in hot sun, without any shade, in a parking lot- with our bus parked right in front of us. On bus Tour was in 4 languages- although advertised as English. Once at Fatima no tour or guidance at all of the grounds. Waist of $
