The driver, Bruno, was fantastic! Elegant car, safe driver, local to area. Provided excellent service including assistance with reservation for lunch at a fantastic restaurant in Aix-en-Provence. On time, courteous, friendly, excellent English. Would do it again.
Amazing! Bruno was waiting for us when we departed the Ship right on schedule. He is extremely friendly and very informative of the surrounding areas. He let us choose what we wanted to do but had many suggestions for us to pick from. It was the last shore trip we were taking from the weeks cruise so we were a little bit tired and asked for a nice spot to relax and enjoy the water of course after a little bit of shopping in Marseille. He took us to a beautiful quaint town Cassis . Gorgeous with fantastic food! Highly recommend this tour. You will not be disappointed! Bruno is fantastic!!!
We were greeted by our driver Bruno at our port in Marseilles Provence. Bruno was AWESOME!!
Our family enjoyed having the opportunity to learn so much about this area of France. By booking a private tour we able to make several stops including Aix-en-Provence, Cassis, Notre Dame de la Garde and Marseille. Each one of our stops gave us a different view of the area. Aix-en-Provence was a city stop. Notre Dame, was in the mountains, Cassis was a small fishing port and Marseille is a mixture of city and sea port.
Bruno was an excellent and informative guide and comes highly recommended by our family.

This is a difficult service to rate. Viator differs from the Private Day Tours with Driver we chose in other countries in that it is a much larger operation. Thus, the registration and requirement of vouchers and the actual car and driver being from another company Taxi in Provence made the process of booking and meeting the tour a little more cumbersome than the smaller, family operated, companies we used in two other countries. That being said, Viator delivered on all levels. even deserving, perhaps, 5 stars, except that our driver had little knowledge of our destination city, Aix-en-Provence. When I asked him to tell me something about Aix, his reply was and I quote, Oh, nothing happened here. And that was all he had to say by way of history of the area. He was more knowledgeable about Marseilles, but we did not request a tour of Marseilles we only requested Aix. Because the driver was perfectly polite friendly, likable, patient and so very helpful to me getting my small mobility scooter in and out of the trunk i do not want to identify him in this review. We very much enjoyed his company and he was a competent driver.
All of our tours were by private car with driver for two people. We were met at either the airport, our hotel or the cruise ship. I highly recommend this method for touring especially when the other option is cruise ship sponsored excursions. In all honesty, I would probably not use such a large tour company again. I liked the fact that it was more warm and fuzzy dealing with the smaller, family run companies.
