Just the 4 of us in our Tour which is what we wanted - small and intimate. Claude our guide was a dream. Sophisticated - and educated. He knew the town and all the spots we needed to know about. Food- Wine - Culture. A true gentleman and a nice mic of the French and English history. Truly appreciated!!!
We had Leslie as our tour leader. She made it enjoyable and fun. Our whole family with three teenagers enjoyed the tour. We also stopped for maple tasting and gelato. She gave us recommendations for lunch and dinner venues. The history of Old Montreal is amazing.
I spent 2 hours with Christian and found him to be well informed and a good communicator. What I learned from him a lot! helped me to make sense of the time when I was on my own. He was able to answer all my questions.
I know this is a very low rating, even though the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, but I have to rate it on the basis of what Viator indicated we can expect on this toor. This included the interior of the Basilica of Norte Dame, the old port of Montreal, Securs Market, nor did we get to the see he Hotel Diey, nor the Sulpicant seminary.
In fact we had to cancer our next day private tour of new Montreal to try to see these sites on our own.
As many travelers we are on a tight schedule and would expect the company to provide what they indicated would happen in a tour.
We enjoyed this tour largely based on the quality of our guide, Andre Faribault. He was charming, knowledgeable and obviously enjoyed his work. When we go back to Montreal, we will again request Andre's services as a guide to things we have yet to see and learn about.
