This tour was not well organised at all. It took several phone calls to establish a pick up time which was not satisfactory as it was stated that it could be anytime from 7am. The escort to the driver never gave any information as to how many pick ups or what time we were due to arrive at Auschwitz, he said nothing. When we did arrive we left the mini van and were to,d that the French visitors who had accompanied us from Krakow there guide would be arriving at 1.40 and our guide would not be there until 2.30!! It 2.45 before anyone arrived to give us any information by this time it had been raining for 3/4hour and we had been standing outside all this time. When he did arrive there was no guide, it was a shambles. Eventually at 3pm we were herded along with another group for the tour. So we waited one hour fourty mins in the rain. It is not good to be sat outside Auschwitz for this length of time, and totally unforgivable that a tour under Viator should be such a shambles we arrived exhausted.at our hotel at 7.45
This was one experience which led to a profound feeling of the worst which has happened in mankind's history, and also the best to be brought out in mankind's spirit and the will to survive.A must see for all historians and students of World War 2.
Driver very pleasant, minibus very old and narrow and cramped and late. Very long day with two 5 minute breaks in 7 hours was simply too much. No information provided by Comfort Tours about lunch arrangements or what to expect on site and actual timings could have easily bought lunch. Lot of walking outside in 1 degree C could be a challenge for some, especially with no real comfort breaks.Guide was very good and knowledgeable and tour was understandably harrowing and very informative, but a little too long without a comfort break, no time allowed for lunch or comfort break. Group was on the large side.
Outstanding service. Our driver, Jacob was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Having a driver waiting for you to get you out of the freezing wind is worth every cent. Auschwitz and Birkenau is a deeply moving experience; an important memorial. The forest we passed is also beautiful.
Amazing well organised trip our driver was punctual, lovely, polite and very efficient, the tour guide around Auschwitz was outstanding with her knowledge and passion for the history this is well worth a visit even thou its an very emotional journey
Our driver Matt was brilliant. My daughter and I enjoyed our day in Auschwitz and Birkenau. Our guide was good and we managed not to get wet - dodged the rain. The trip was very informative and well worth the money.
It was good to see Auschwitz concentration camp.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and good.
The driver was also friendly.
The area for improvement: The van was small for 8 people, and it was too tight for 1.5 hour ride each way. People got bored and tired in the van. Is there any way to improve it to make the trip more pleasant?
Note that there is no lunch break. There is two short toilet breaks 15-20 min before you enter the Camp and after you exit the Camp, so you can get some snack and drinks during these breaks. Those snack were not very appealing to me. If this concerns you, bring your own snack.
