The louvre can be extremely overwhelming and confusing. Our guide took us through all the highlights of the museum. Going in the evening was amazing, less crowds, by the time we finished at the Mona Lisa we were the only people there!!! Our guide was fantastic and our group small. This was the best way to see the museum!
Our tour guide was so amazing. We planned on staying with the tour for an hour, see the Mona Lisa and go eat. It was a three hour tour and was over before we knew it. he was so cute and animated. made history come alive. Even my wife who does not like museums enjoyed it. That is saying a lot! Plus in the end we had the Mona Lisa almost to ourselves after 9:30 pm. Selfies and all.!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable. She was pleasant and friendly. But I felt the tour could have included more artefacts instead of just six. And it was very expensive for what it was. Any way not a bad experience.
Our Guide, gave us such a fabulous tour of the Louvre! We saw an incredible amount of art work and learned so much history as we worked our way through from the ancient moats below to the Mona Lisa above. Bravo!
Our guide Lilly was engaging . She entertained and educated us by giving modern comparisons and history that really helped our children to put things into context they understood. They learned while not knowing they were being taught it was a wonderful experience. Also well timed to get to the monilia a at the last moment.
What an amazing experience. Violette was an amazing tour guide. She very knowledgeable and passionate about the art and History of the Louvre. Her explanation of the works was outstanding and there wasn't anything I asked she didn't know. The tour is a highlight tour and 3 hours is definitely not enough time for the whole museum. But we received a crash course in art history for all the main pieces of art and have really come out of the experience with an amazing and knowledge filled appreciation for the Palace. The room for the Mona Lisa at the end had maybe 20 people in it and it was really a nice finish the tour.
A 'must do' location while in Paris, this place is massive beyond belief. We were excited to have a guide to help us get oriented as well as the skip-the-line nature saved at least an hour!. Josephine was brilliant, fun, delightfully pleasant and just a wonderful tour guide. She memorized every name of our small group - about 12 of us in just one effort. She then took us on a not-rushed, full of information tour with plenty of time at the key exhibits. Finally we ended with the Mona Lisa. The room is huge, the painting relatively small. Normally it is packed but with the timing here we spent about 15 minutes right at the front rail with no pushing, shoving or other hand-to-hand combat. Easy to look at her, take a family photo or even a selfie! Strongly recommend this tour and do your best to get Josephine Napolean's ex wife! as your guide - she was just brilliant!
On the day I went arriving late in the day provided little benefit. We did not see the Mona Lisa with a small group though I did get close. She is an amazing lady. The museum was packed, hot and noisy which made listening to the guide difficult. Our guide was very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. We were a small group which helped some with the crowds. I learned a great deal without being overwhelmed by information. It was good value for money but my advice would be to skip the Louvre on very hot days if you are there to enjoy the art.
Guide took way too much time chit-chatting and we did not get to see much of the museum at all. Our time at the Mona Lisa was very limited and we were shuffled out of the museum at closing time. The ONLY benefit of this tour is the skip the line entry.
