Driver turned up on time - so far so good
We had booked as four adults and the booking stated one piece of luggage and one hand baggage per person
The car which arrived was not big enough for this
The driver was helpful and courteous and tried to call in to resolve this
In the end we all made the best of it but this meant four adults and two cases in the car - far from ideal
Seems like a communication issue between booking with Viator and the provider
Viator bookings have always been excellent to date but this one let us down a bit
Whilst the driver and the car were lovely, the administration was horrible.
We had to make a change to our itinerary 4 days before the scheduled date and fly in a day early. I tried calling the offices 8 times that day and nobody was answering, even though their website advertises 24hour service. After successfully getting thorough, I gave them the new date and flight details and they confirmed that they made the change.
Nobody was there when we got to the airport we even paid the extra service to have someone waiting at the terminal with a name card. I finally gave in to calling the offices directly something I was avoiding as I knew the international roaming charges would be expensive. I spoke to a man and explained the predicament. He looked up my booking and told me that he could see that I made the change but for some reason they changed our pick up time back to the original - he couldn't give an explanation why this was done, or who 'they' were.
He then told me they would send someone over within the next 10mins, and told me where to go and stand to wait for the driver. After 15 mins, I made another call and he said the driver was there looking for us. He told me where I should be and I told him we were still waiting in the same place. Another 10mins, and I made another call and I got the same excuse. Finally I made a fourth call and was very frustrated by this time. He then asked me to confirm what airline and terminal I was at and after telling him that they already had my flight details, he said he made a mistake and had sent the driver to the domestic, not international terminal. He said he didnt look at my flight details before doing this, he just assumed we would be coming in domestically. After 4 international roaming phone calls and 30mins later the driver finally showed up.
So in my opinion, this was not worth it. I shouldve just caught a taxi and saved myself a headache and a whole lot of money!
