This tour allowed us to see the highlights of Warsaw as well as some off the beaten track locations. We were lucky to have Mark as our guide. It was like meeting up with a college buddy who was so proud to show us his city. We all hit it off immediately. There was no script. Mark just explained all the sites he thought we should see in a conversational, matter of fact way. He was more than willing to answer all our questions especially those about growing up in Warsaw. The highlight of the tour was lunch at a little family owned cafe in the part of town not frequented by tourists. Excellent. Complete with a shot of homemade vodka. The funky Communist era fire truck fit in all the parking areas limiting the need to walk far.
I cant imagine there is a better way to get an overview of Warsaw.
Our guide, Mark, was very informative. He asked us what we were interested in and focused on those things. We liked the before and after photos he showed us when we visited different sites. He took us to a local bakery that had amazing pastries. We also ate at an off the beaten path restaurant which was fun. We really enjoyed the house made moonshine vodka. It was fun riding around in the classic van.
Mark was an excellent tour guide. We did the full day, almost 6 hours, with Mark in the Red Fire Wagon. Mark talked almost non stop about Warsaw and its long history. We learned so much that I felt like an expert. The next day I was with Polish customers and they were surprised that I knew so much.
This is called Behind the Scenes but we didn't really see anything more than we had seen. The lunch was on a cafe in a street that houses alcoholics so not the best to sit outside and eat. tour guide was ok but really went on too much about deaths in WW11 and we knew most of it. thought this tour would be fun but Ll we really did was drive past places in the van. Not a great tour considering prices and what we got.
This tour was exceptionally good. Our guide, Art, was brilliant. He has in depth knowledge and understanding of the city, its buildings, history and the location of some very interesting behind the scenes places. For example, we had lunch in a small authentic restaurant with great atmosphere. As a result of this tour we came away with excellent memories of the city. Art is a great communicator and has a very positive attitude and approach to his work and his enthusiasm was apparent throughout this great tour. The vehicle used for transport was interesting and also added to the atmosphere on the day. For anyone with limited time to explore the city this tour is a must and the same applies if you have longer! don't miss this one it's worth every penny!
