Booked this online and it was great. Meet at the Joker grocery store. It was easy to find the bus and very friendly guide and driver. We went to 2 viewing site and to the glacier views. Bus driver was wonderful. Views were special. Had enough time at each place. Best news was a lot less than the cruise ship charged.
We just got back from Norway and this was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a beautiful day which made it even better. There were many great views on the trip up to Mount Dalsnibba, but the views from the top were spectacular! It was like being on top of the world. Then we traveled the Eagle Road and stopped at the platform for views of Geirangerfjord. This was one of the most beautiful sights of the whole trip. Amazing.
Simon, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and fun. He met us at the dock and walked us to the bus. We were a small group, so we were able to leave before the tour buses from the ship and get to the viewpoints before the big crowds. If you are nervous about doing this tour instead of the cruise ship tour, don't be. It was so much cheaper and it was very easy to connect with the tour guides on the dock. Just look for someone holding the Norway Excursions sigh.Great trip! I highly recommend this tour.
Danny, our guide, was terrific. He lived and worked in Norway for several years and loved what he does: talking to people and explaining all he knows about the sights. Loved this tour and Danny was the best!
Our party of 3 totally enjoyed our Geiranger Excursion. Our tour guide, Monica, as well as our driver, were knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to talk to throughout the trip. Monica met us at the dock and directed us to our van. We had a small group booked for this tour, so it was a bonus to have a van rather than a large bus for our drive.
If you only have a few hours at Geiranger, this is the perfect tour to see the highlights of what the area has to offer. Our tour guide, Monica, was right at the exit of the port waiting for us to get checked in for the bus tour. We got to the top of the Dalsnibba mountain top as well as other very scenic stops. Perfect tour for many photos!
Great tour, far less expensive than the ship's tour and far less crowded. The bus was waiting for us at the pier, clearly marked....and we had an excellent guide. It certainly helped that we had a perfect day with a perfect view from Dalsnibba which is very often clouded in so you don't get the view.
