Amazing tour ! I especially liked the giant pink Ganesh, the forest with huge bats, and the amazing Gold temple. Guide was Peter, very nice and professional.
Excellent guide! Great knowledge of the sights and very kind!
If you want to get off the path and see sights you would not normally see, this is a great tour. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. The temples and river cruise were very interesting and enjoyable. Lunch was in a beautiful riverside restaurant. The food was ordered in advance by the guide and was so-so. If you are concerned about eating good Thai food, I would interject and get involved in the food order. The market in the morning had great food and was a good first stop. We ate several things there.
We had a wonderful trip with Jackie. He was on time and well educated about the sites. The trip overview that was listed was well aligned with our travels. Beautiful sites in a remote part of Thailand. Lunch was wonderful in a great river side restaurant. The car was very comfortable. We would highly recommended this trip especially if you are looking to see some sites that are not on the common tourist trails.
I and my wife had an incredible day out on 30 April 2017 thanks to Peter our English speaking guide. He rang our hotel in Bangkok the previous day and left a message regarding the pickup time in the morning. Peter was at the hotel lobby promptly and first drove us to the 100 years old market of Talad Khlong Suan. We browsed the stalls and strolled around the market for about half an hour and had an opportunity to purchase some items. Peter then took us to the temple of Wat Saman Rattanaram where we saw a collection of Buddhist and Hindu statues, most notably a Giant Reclining Ganesha. On the way to the temple he made us taste the most delicious pineapple and at the Saman Rattanaram temple we tasted the most refreshing coconut water. He changed the itinerary to suit us as we wanted lunch a bit later. We drove to Wat Pho Bangkla, a temple with magnificent reclining Buddha in the midst of trees filled with fruit bats. We have never seen hundreds of bats in broad daylight. We then headed down to the riverside and hop aboard for a boat to cruise along the Bang Pakong River. Afterwards we visited the visually impressive Golden temple of Wat Pho Bangkla. Our last stop was at the Palm Sap Village, where we had the chance to taste delicious palm juice. Peter checked with us as to what we would like for lunch and contacted the restaurant with our preferences. We had a typically Thai lunch at the local riverside restaurant before the journey back to our Bangkok hotel. Many thanks Peter.
Rushed !!! Terrible lunch !!!!! Chicken bones soup!!!!! Reclining buddah at the bat temple .... didn't see it !!! Too Rushed to get on the boat . Seemed like the tour guide was in a real rush ... couldn't wait to get rid of us so he could be doing something else ...Most of the tours stops were covered .. VERY QUICKLY !!!!! Not one the best Viator tours that I have been on !!!!! The Golden Temple was worth seeing .... so was the market ... again VERY RUSHED .... might have bought something from the merchants if there was more time
