ATV tour was great! Breathtaking scenery along the ride. Some spots on the ATV your path were a little rough but manageable, and I had never ridden one before. The only thing I would suggest is maybe stop along the path to take some pictures, cause the views were amazing and unless you have a go pro, it’s difficult to stop and take pics. Otherwise the stops along the tour were great and you get plenty of opportunity to take pics. Still a 5/5.
EA and Alex were awesome in this tour. The tour was unbelievable. We were here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved this tour. Unfortunately, we could not swim in the natural pool but that had nothing to do with the tour at all. We definitely will be back next time we come to Aruba.
I traveled to Aruba with three other people. We were really looking forward to the ATV tour. I normally do not like writing reviews but I am compelled to write this one to warn future customers about major issues with Kini Kini, which was the local tour operator.
The tour started off well. Van driver picked us at the hotel right on time. Once we arrived at the company office, we signed our waivers and proceeded to get helmets. Helmets were absolutely disgusting. They were covered with dirt and dust and smelled like sweat. It was obvious that nobody cleans them. The smell almost made me vomit. The only savior was Lysol spray which we had to inhale. We quickly proceeded to get on our ATV's. Our guide Alex rushed through operating instructions in his broken English. Some of us were new to riding ATV's and needed more instructions. About 10 minutes into a ride I started noticing that my ATV is hard to operate, especially when making a turn. My cousin who was riding behind me pulled me over. Lower control arm on the left front completely broke off and was dangling free leaving the front wheel at a 45 degree angle to the road making it difficult if not impossible to steer. It is obvious that Kini Kini does not maintain their vehicles and there are no mechanical inspections. We had to wait for a replacement car on the side of the road. The replacement unit was burning oil and backfiring so badly that it left the rest of my group choking from the exhaust and burned oil fumes the entire way. Tour terrain is very challenging with many ups and downs, tough turns and lots of rocks. Riding broken or unsafe ATV is extremely risky and dangerous. Proper vehicle maintenance is a must! By the way, Alex was super casual about this whole thing.
Additionally, natural pool comes with challenges too. It is hard to get to with many slippery rocks. Please be careful.
I would not recommend using Kini Kini to anyone. Please stay away.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We're very sorry you had a terrible experience and did not enjoy this tour. For as much as we try to clean the helmets as you noticed the dust is so bad, that it won't come off. The helmets are cleaned daily and sprayed with Lysol for hygiene. We have found that most people still prefer the full faced helmets as it protects them better from the sun and the dust. We wish we could provide everyone with brand new helmets, but these are very expensive to import to the island and would make the tour too expensive for participants. We're sorry you found Alex's English to be broken, since he speaks 4 languages, it is a bit difficult to be fluent in all of them but he does try his best in all.
Indeed, your machine broke down, which can happen to any motorized vehicle. We immediately sent another vehicle, which took about 20 min to arrive since they had to drive to your location and traffic can sometimes be a bit hectic during those hours. The equipment is maintained on a daily basis and upgraded every 2-3 years.
We're sorry you did not enjoy the trip to the pool. As you can imagine, we have very limited influence on the terrain and the Natural Pool itself. Once again we're sorry for your terrible experience and hope you still enjoyed the rest of your stay on the island.
Pancho was a great and fun guide. We took us by the church by the sea, gold mill ruins and the natural bridge, then we rode off to the natural pool to jump in for a refreshing dip of bliss. Great tour, highly recommend this route if you want a dip in the pool.
My wife wanted to do an ATV tour. I was a bit hesitant, but thought I would give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! Our tour guides Alex and Pancho of Kini Kini Transfer & Tours Aruba did a great job! What we liked was the group was smaller than many of the others which made it more personalized. The sites were fantastic, with the right mix of driving through neighborhoods and off roading through the countryside and rugged terrain. I would recommend Kini Kini for a great ATV experience!
This excursion started over an hour late. Because of the late start the guides were in a hurry from the beginning and drove dangerously fast over extremely rough terrain. It could be fun for a single driver but the target audience is a 25 year old adrenaline fueled male. It was very uncomfortable for the passenger as the road was too rough and there isn’t much for them to hang in too. The pool at the end was the only good thing, although it was very crowded.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. We're sorry that you did not have the positive experience that was expected. We did some checking and the only recent tour that departed late was due to the cruise docking late so we arranged a special tour for cruise passengers so the others that were already on the island would not be delayed, were you perhaps a part of this group? We would love to make this up to you and learn where things went wrong and how we might improve on this. If you would like to provide us with more information please send us an email or let us know how we can get in touch with you to make up for this. I hope this did not ruin your trip to Aruba and that you still enjoyed the rest of your vacation. :)
