I did this walking tour with Rob S, who was a brilliant, knowledgeable guide. He was very passionate about the history of the concentration camp and gave a lot of background that you wouldn't get if you did the camp by yourself. While i would have liked a little more time to really feel and process what i was looking at, i found this tour excellent, well organised and great value.

We had Heidi, among other guides and tours by Berlin Walking Tours. She was fantastic, didn’t exaggerate but left critical information, like the rise of Hitler & how the Red Army discovered 3,000 immobile prisoners, incapable of the death march, at the camp’s liberation. We started in Berlin & chose to stay a bit longer to reflect on the site, which was fine with Heidi, and she made sure we had what we needed to get back.

Concentration camp visit. Guide was polite, considerable and patient. Always cared about the group, detailed but not excessive in naration.
A sombre but must do experience with an excellent guide

This was a very good tour of an obviously very serious part of history. Our guide, Stephen G was very knowledgeable, informative and handled the tour very well. Definitely recommended not only for history buffs, but anyone interested in seeing what humans can do to each other....
It's a must see!

Such a beautiful, yet sober memorial. It definitely makes one think about humanity and the atrocities we can be capable of. Hopefully mankind in seeing this extraordinary exhibit will not repeat those same errors.
Learn From History

Martin was a wonderful guide. We were confronted with the devastating history of Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp which was extremely hard but necessary so we learn and dare not repeat it.
A "MUST" Tour, Important for all to experience

We did this tour with our two sons, 13 and 16. It was impactful and both thought it was a highlight of our 3 week trip to Europe. Our guide, Beth, was fantastic- I would highly recommend her!
History lesson at its best

We had Sam as our tour guide and wow did he know everything about this place. Super informative, super friendly and made sure we seen everything we had to see. A must do if visiting Berlin! An eye opener to the history of the concentration camps.
A day discovering the past

Beth was our guide on a day out of Berlin at the former Concentration camp. Our first trip to Germany and we felt we must take in as much historical fact as possible. Beth began by taking us on a short walk to our station where we caught a train out to Oranienburg, remember to pre purchase a Berlin welcome card including zone 3 as this trip takes you out of the city to it's furthest point, before setting out Beth explained a lot of the history setting the scene, then followed a 45 minute train ride, we assembled on the platform and after a further conversation followed Beth to the site taking us on the same journey the prisoners would have done in the 30's and 40's. Walking through the streets and out through residential housing it was hard to believe that such a dark place could function alongside normality. It was an extensive tour, so much detail and a true feeling of what happened here. Beth articulated all the detail with ease, always happy to answer questions also. I'm not about to go into detail of what followed, you really need to come here and experience it for yourself. Something to note, if you are doing this trip from Berlin there is nowhere to buy food and drink at the site, it's a good 6 hour trip at least including travel so arrive prepared, there are great bakeries inside the station near the meeting point so buy fresh and support the local economy. Also there is little in the way of shelter on the tour so be prepared for all element just in case. Thank you Beth, in our 4 days this was the most intense tour we did but also the most in depth, I often shy away from too much history but I've honestly never been as engaged in a subject with a tour guide. Well done.
Very good

Our guide Dave was excellent! He went into every possible detail and gave us time to explore all the camp. Thanks you!
