Nice tour with a woman from Madrid who lives just outside of Bologna. Our tour guide took us to many typical Italian streets to see all that Bologna has to offer in terms of stuffed pastas and food speciality shops. We stopped for delicious chocolates and ended with a glass of wine of our choice, sliced meats, a fried bread speciality from Bologna, and a taste of parmesan cheese. We were given a voucher for a coffee to get on our own at the end of the tour. Just a great tour with a very friendly guide. Do it! I really enjoyed it.

That sound system was so poor it was impossible to listen to the guide. So I feel like we missed out on a lot of the tour. But I must say the food at the end was very good.

I had been on a similar tour last year that I enjoyed very much. This one was similar but not as complete. We were given a voucher for a coffee experience instead if being taken there and given the story about the place. Gelato shops were pointed out but we were not given any. The other one bought us gelato and explained to us the differences from a great gelato shop and an average one. When we were taking into the food market area we were not giving any samples of any of the meats and cheeses. And the other one our guide purchased meats and cheeses and then took us into the drinking only old Tavern where we sat down there and ate and she also purchase wine for us to drink there. In your tour we were given a sampling of meat and cheese in the marketplace. The atmosphere was not as nice. Our guide was very nice. But I do not feel like your tour gave as complete Other food experience as the other one. Those were the same price.

The guide was knowledgeable and the food was excellent. I would have liked more stops to sample food.

The experience failed to meet my expectations. I would have preferred an English only group. The tour seemed rushed. I would not recommend it.

It was good. We did some chocolate from the oldest chocolatier and cold cuts/wine from one of the market restaurant tasting.
Due to the size of the group, sometimes it was hard to see what the guide was showing while she was talking.

Tour was ok. Maybe because the tour was unavailable until Fri and we had sourced and read most of most of what was said. Difficult to hear with Fri eve traffic noise and ear phones ,we got ,had only 1 ear connection. Probably fine if it was available on the First day in Bologna. The tastings were harmless.

I took this tour with my sister and boyfriend while we were in Bologna for the day back in early July. We were in a group of 10 people. We met our tour guide at the tourist office as this is a tour run by the city. We made our first stop of the day at the chocolatier to try some samples. We walked through the markets of the city and visited different meat shops and learned about the specialties of the Emilia-Romagna region. We ended the tour with the wine, meat, and cheese tasting in an indoor market. I thought our guide did an excellent job of explaining the foods of the region and answering questions from the group. I would recommend this tour! We had people of various ages in our tour, so I think that the whole family could do it. If anything, it's a lot of walking and a long tour, but the guide made sure to go at a slower pace and keep the group together.
