We did this for my husband myself and my adult daughter Carlos our tour guide was exceptional we learn about the history of Mexico while enjoying chocolate tequila a delicious tacos We also enjoyed meeting new people who are part of our group It was helpful to have the rye provided back to our ship We watch from the talk to discover Mexico building the walk took about 2025 minutes and was not bad but if you have any elements I would suggest taking a taxi Be prepared to bring extra money along to tip during the tour hey did bother me the tips were asked for at various times during the tour I would preferred just to tip at the end
Both my sister and I attended the Christmas day 1p Cozumel Combo: Jose Cuervo Tequila Tasting plus Discover Mexico and Chocolate Workshop and had a wonderful guide, Gian. The entire experience was awesome until we made purchases in the gift shop and were encouraged/told by Gian to leave the purchases in the gift shop until after our buffet luncheon and then pick the purchases up upon leaving. The two young ladies in the shop took care of our credit card payments and we proceeded to leave. We were escorted back through the gift shop and picked up our wrapped and taped packages and then rushed to the taxivan waiting to take us back to port. We had to turn in the packages upon boarding the ship as they contained liquor. We did not receive them back until the last day of the cruise. At that time while packing, we noticed the jewelry purchased was not in either of our packages. My sister paid for a ring valued at $100. I paid for a pair of earrings valued at $125. Neither of our jewelry purchases were in either of our bags. We have my receipts but no jewelry... Highly disappointed, feeling violated to the utmost. Ruined a perfect Christmas Day.
We had a great tour. Our guide was Memo and we were the only ones with him for most of the tour. He was very personable and knowledgeable about every aspect of the Discover Mexico Park.Memo really loves Mexico, and tequila! Our tour lasted 3 hrs and the time went by very fast! I highly reccommend this tour..hope you get Memo !

What can I say, I have been on many tours in my life and this is one of the best. I do not known if it was how we were treated or what we saw, but everything was great. The chocolate and tequila demonstrations were very informative and tasty. I think the most important part was our guide Martin he showed passion for what he was showing us and very interested in us having a great time. If you are lucky enough to be on this tour and be with Marrrrrrtin you will have a great tour and a great time!
We booked this tour on our own instead through cruise ship. For 5 more than the ship price the chocolate workshop was included. It was also 8 for the cab. The chocolate workshop was well worth that. A great place to get an overview of Mexico, history, art, geography, culture. Another couple did not arrive on time for our tour so we had an individual tour with our excellent guide, John. When the buses came with all the people from the ship and they had large groups it made me appreciate the individualized attention we received. Tasting was informative and lunch was authentic. Tour wouldn't be for everyone but highly recommend for first time adult visitors to Mexico.
A wonderful way to learn about the Mexican culture and traditions. Our guide, Natascha was a delight! Such fun and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed learning about chocolate and making the bars. Unfortunately, we left them behind in our stateroom of the boat so we never got to taste the final product.
The tequila workshop was a class act all the way! Natascha provided us with such insight and appreciation for tequila and its origin. We learned so much and had a great time!
We found our way to the Discover Mexico Park via Taxi 11 from where our ship docked. Although we were early, we were greeted by our guide Rocio and shown a place to wait. Once our party was assembled, we received a small margarita sample and then Rocio took over and did a fantastic job. We learned much about the history of Mexico and in particular Cozumel. There is a neat little museum at the beginning of the tour. We took a leisurely walk through and area of miniature pyramids and Rocio explained many of them and how they were used in earlier times. We went to an area where we learned about chocolate, had a frozen chocolate drink and then made our own chocolate bars. Rocio lead us through the tequila tasting and shared interesting history and manufacturing facts. We had a margarita and them some tacos for lunch. Although we were there longer than expected, it was a fantastic day!! Transportation back to the dock was provided.
