Takes you to the most have to see attractions

The Kyoto and Nara 1 Day Bus Tour takes you to the most have to see attractions, but the guide doesn't provide any tour info while you ride the bus. He only takes to the place purchases tickets that are included in the tour, and tells that you have 30 min or 1hr and we will meet at certain point. But if you need information about shrine, temple etc you can read it on your own

had a lovely day!! everything was well organised, you even had set seats in the bus to avoid fuss. all 4 stops were really beautiful and you got a good amount of time at each, didn't feel to rushed. a few of the stops where pretty busy but a lot of schools where visiting them as part of graduation . tour guide Michael?? was really friendly, good English and explained about the sites
Dense tour, seeing a lot

A good tour for orientation. Drive times between attractions are rather long, so you cover a lot in a day - of course at the cost if having time in individual places. Very efficiently organized, comfort and information ok for the price. Overall good value for money. I personally would have spent more time at the Inari shrine to really make it up to the hilltop (about 1h each direction), but that's not necessarily the main stream taste. So overall: well done.
Excellent tour

First was Kinkaku-ji, the famous golden pavilion. Lovely in the sunlight. We didn’t have much time as we were on a tour (but it was enough), but it was great to see it. Then we were off to Arashiyama, the bamboo grove. It was pretty crowded, but the grove was so impressive with all the trees. While the rest of the group was wandering around in their free time, we took time to visit the Tenryuji Temple next to the grove on our own. In fact, I would have loved to explore the temple more, too. We had a quick lunch on our own (lots of places to eat in the town next to the grove) because we were so busy looking at cherry blossoms and just wandering through the gardens/hillside. Next it was to visit Fushimi Inari Taisha, which we had already seen the day before. A good thing, too, as it started raining hard. It was so cold and wet, and we would have been miserable if we were outside touring the groves but we just sat inside and relaxed. But it shouldn't be missed as it's a gorgeous shrine. Then it was off the Nara to see cherry blossoms and the famous Nara deer. They were very persistent in trying to get fed. It rained hard for a while but there was a beautiful rainbow at the end. We didn’t have time to visit the temple there since my daughter insisted that feeding the deer was more important, but it looked impressive from the outside. I was there with my 2 adult daughters.
Kyoto and Nara tour

It was great except i took wrong street from bathroom at Temple and when i realised i emailed the guide who ADRIAN who was not helpful and told me to find a rail station and go back so i missed NARA which was my whole purpose for the tour. He could have explained that i could take the train to Nara and meet them there but didn’t and so i wasted the afternoon. It was not easy as no one spoke English or had street signs but i found the train station eventually.
Intense but a good value

We found several tours similar to this one but this was the most competitively priced. There was plenty of opportunity to walk around the various sites and our guide was quite flexible in what we did. The only downside is that we ran consistently late due to traffic and the late arrival of people at each of the stops. This resulted in only having 35 minutes at Nara, our final destination. Overall, we felt that this tour was a very good value.
Unreliable tour guide
, mar 2019
The attractions we visited were nice, it was the tour guide named Ryan who messed up. It was my first time to be on a group tour everywhere in the world but it was my first time not to be given a sticker for easier group recognition, and to meet a guide not holding a flag or anything so he can easily be identified & found especially on crowded tourist spots. He didn't give much information about the place and just kept on saying we could go ahead if we knew the place already. He smelled cigarettes too everytime he boarded the bus.
