Our tour ran to schedule and we were one of the first coaches to arrive at Windsor so we were at the front of the line for entry. It wasn't long before the queue started to extend down the street. Our guide was very informative about the royal family and gave a running commentary on the places we visited. Would have liked to have had longer at Stonehenge - it was a matter of off the coach and onto the shuttle bus, walk around the site while taking photos, back on the shuttle bus, toilet at the visitor center and gone. The lunch at Laycock was quite enjoyable and we had time for a quick look around the village. It was almost dark when we arrived at Bath so didn't see much except the Christmas markets.
We are unsatisfied at all.1. We booked the tour from Viator for Saturday 24 November. But in the morning of that day, on they way to walk to the meeting point, my Mom had an accident in her left leg that she could not walk and join. We tried to walk and kept asking where the meeting point of Viator was. Surprisingly when we reached the point, the tour was run by Premium instead of Viator. Why there was a different company? I reported the unfortunate case of my mom. But they did not agree to refund us the ticket of my mom when she could not join in due to her disability.2. Our tour was changed to the next day (25 November). The boarding time was 7:30 but the coach delayed to depart until 7:50. We had to wait outside the Windsor castle from 8:30 to 10:00 to go inside. The tour guide even did not give us her contact telephone. My father was sick and took medicines in the castle, but I did not have the phone of the tour guide to call. We asked the tour guide about the gathering time after Windsor. She answered 11:50 at coach park. However, at 11:35 we were at the coach park but we did not see anybody. We waited there in the very cold weather. We did not know how to contact the tour guide, and she did not call me ... We felt, she was so irresponsible for this position with the customers. We come to Windsor at the first time so we did not know how to continue going or go back to the stations...We have to say that we all feel disappointed with your tour to Windsor - Stonehenge - Bath. It is really a horrible cold day in Windsor.
Weather was great for November. Windsor was beyond expectation. Stonehenge is a must for anyone visiting London. Bath was rushed because we ran out of daylight. Could have spent more time everywhere but pleased with what we did in short timeframe. Bus was comfortable and on time. Guide was informative and cheerful.
This was an excellent tour. Our guide Steve M. was very knowledgeable about every area we visited. He answered all questions that the tour group threw at him. He also had a great sense of humor that kept the trip going. Our driver Malcolm was fantastic. He kept the coach moving smoothly. I recommend this trip highly for people who want a overall view of the British Monarch's living quarters, and several areas that had a big impact on the Untied Kingdoms history.
My husband and I booked this tour as part of our honeymoon. It was a LONG day without a doubt, but it was super worth it. We arrived to Windsor before the gates opened and had a little bit of a wait. Our tour guide, Kathy, was great. She was super informative and clearly had a great passion for the things she showed up, you can easily spend your whole day there, though we were allotted around 45 minutes to an hour to venture around. Unfortunately, we were a little behind schedule for the rest of the day due to a few folks arrive back to bus late at all stops. When we arrived to Stonehenge there was an issue with the buses so by the time we were taken up to view the formation, we only had about 20 minutes before we had to be back on the bus ready to head to lunch. Lacock was a cute little town and the food was great. The time at Bath was also amazing. We ended up opting for the tour through the Roman Baths not included with your ticket price and got there just in time before they stopped allowing ticket sales. They are truly a sight to see, I would highly recommend seeing them if you arrive in time. The drive back to London from Bath is a long drive, 3 hours if I remember correctly. Overall, I 100 recommend this tour to anyone wanting to knock a few things off their to see list without spending a whole day there.
Our tour guide was amazing! He even played some Peter Gabriel and Sting songs, using his phone over the bus PA system. I forget his name, but he was great! I wish we had more time at Stonehenge. We had enough time to grab the shuttle up to the rocks, then a super fast 5 minutes at the gift shop. Bottom line is my Wife and I traveled from Portland Oregon USA to see Stonehenge and we had a wonderful day! Thank you so much! This was a good price for what we got.
This was our first day trip during our 3 week European adventure, so I may be slightly biased. We stopped at Windsor and had a great time seeing the Castle and the church there. Our next stop was Bath. Our guide accidently gave us too much time here, so our lunch in Lacock was cut short.
Bath was nice. We got some snacks and rode a carriage around the town. We didnt visit the Roman baths because Rome was literally our next stop in our European adventure.
Lunch was very rushed. We literally got off the bus, were told we could snap a very quick picture of the Harry Potter house and were off to lunch. Lunch was like a food eating contest. AND then we were told that we may not make it to Stonehenge before it closed.
Thankfully we did make it Stonehenge and were able to see everything before getting back on the bus, back to London.
Im glad we went on this day trip. I am sooo glad that I got to see Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. Those were the highlights for me. I just wish our guide had managed our time a little better.
