We had booked 10 people on this tour and we all had a great time as the guide was fantastic.. Gave us all kinds of unique and interesting information about St Maarten and the recent destruction from the hurricanes.. I've rated it 4 stars only because Orient beach was destroyed by hurricane last September, and Viator never updated us that our trip would not include this beach now 6 months later. We did go to a substitute beach which was excellent but on the Dutch side. Maho Beach and the airplanes were great, but not many planes as very few tourists are flying into St Maarten at this time. On Orient beach, 85 restaurants and bars were destroyed, and because all building approvals have to come from Paris, it was last week before 3 building permits could be approved. Our guide also told us that all the sand was blown off the beach and has just now started to be washed back, but its mostly rocks. I feel so bad for the people of St Maarten because this storm was a category 5 plus no higher rating, but consisted of 185 mph sustained winds and gusts to 240mph. There is destruction everywhere. They are projecting that it will be 5 years before everything will be back to normal. At the airport, they are running arrivals and departures out of tents as the main terminal is still being rebuilt. In any case, if your cruise ship is coming here, I would certainly recommend this tour as it did go all around the island and was very interesting.
