Great tour and wonderful guide! I got so much more out of my visit to the fish market and Asakusa with Noriko as a guide. She helped me discover new foods I never would have found or tried on my own. Fun and a great learning experience too! Highly recommend.

We took this tour in December 2016 and loved it. Our guide was Yurika and she was the best! Very patient, kind, and knowledgeable. She had relationships with the vendors and made it really smooth for us to get all the food samples. We even got traditional sake cups, very cool. The tour was small they keep all their tours to five people or less I believe, which makes it a very personal experience. I HIGHLY recommend!!

Our guide Chihiro was terrific. Her English was excellent and she was extremely knowledgeable about not only the area and the markets but Tokyo as well. There were only four of us on this tour which was a perfect number as it allowed us to move through the areas with ease. Chihiro also offered us advice about other activities in Tokyo and was kind enough to email me with directions for the metro to other areas we wished to see.

This tour and our guide, Kato Kazu, was amazing and informative. If you are a foodie you will be in heaven. We went to the fish market area in the morning and started with seeing an assembly line making omelets for a number of small stalls. Then we progressed to seeing and tasting a whole array of foods - sea urchins, squid, eel, various mushrooms, shark, tuna slicing, oysters, clams, king crab, candied fruit, etc. before we finally went into the inner sanctum of the fish market. This is allowed only after 10 am when the actual bidding and purchasing of fish has finished. The amount of tuna alone was staggering to comprehend. Outside this area I noticed a building about 9 stories high and asked what that was and was told that was the refrigeration building! Purchasers store their fish in there before distributing it. Then we proceeded to the outer ring of the market where the fruits and vegetables are sold. It was incredible to see such a large variety of produce offered. Then we went for lunch and more touring before finishing at a sweets place with dessert and tea. Well worth the time and money, especially with our guide, Kato Kazu.

I had the most fantastic time with Mr. Yukio. He was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, hardworking. We made a good 2 hours at different parts of the Tsukiji market. I tried to keep myself a bit hungry which was hard given so much you can to try there. Yukio made sure you take the best of the many varieties offered. We also had sake tasting before making it Asakusa market which is mostly for buying souvenirs. Thank you

Yukio was a great guide, full of information about what we were seeing and Japanese culture. So much food, we were barely hungry for our excellent lunch. I would take any tour with him. Nice small group.

My sister and I had a wonderful time with Michiko...she was very informative on Japanese etiquette, and she bought us different kinds of things to taste and experience. Japanese omelet, oysters, sake, green tea, delicious and super fresh sushi, Japanese light and fluffy pastry. She took us to a rooftop to oversee the Tsukiji Market and got a glimpse of Mount Fuji off in the distance. We took a train to Asakusa and went to a wonderful shopping area that led to a Temple. I really enjoyed my time with Michiko and I would highly recommend this tour! Don't miss out on this one, and be sure to come hungry, as you will be eating quite a bit! :-

This is a great tour of Tsukiji market and fish market. If I were to make one change to the tour, I would stop the tour after the fish market rather than going to Asakusa. Asakusa has really nothing to do with food and since we had already seen it on another tour really wasn't that impactful for us. Would like the tour to start and end at Tsukiji and then we could have had lunch at Tsukiji with all of our new found knowledge of the area. As a part of the tour we did eat at a great sushi place before taking the subway to Asakusa.

Our tour guide, Sayoko, was extremely kind and informative throughout the entire tour. She knew exactly how to navigate some of the more crowded and complicated areas, and was able to find alternative options for food when some of the stands we stopped at had lines that were too long. She's not only very knowledgeable about the tour, but also about the rich cultural history of the areas we were going through.

This tour was very interesting but not what we were expecting. Our guide Noriko was very good and really informative. We had plenty of ingredient tasting opportunities, a sushi lunch and a Japanese tea with desserts. However, there was no cuisine tasting as would be more typical.

Being foodies, Tsukiji market is an amazing place and to have our guide Sachimi show us around in detail, made it a truly memorable experience, especially since we not Japanese speakers. The wholesale side of the market will be moving to its new location sometime in the future, so we are happy to have the tour at its current historic location. The tour was also extremely good value as it includes food and sake tastings, a sushi lunch, as well as a tour and tea at Asakusa. The tour involves a lot of walking that helped to burn all those calories . A highlight of our Tokyo stay. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo.

The tour takes you through the food stalls and shops outside the Tsukiji Fish Market to try some Japanese food and Sake. It was fun looking at all the stalls and trying some of the foods and Sake. Our guide Toshi was excellent in explaining about the foods. The trip up to Asakusa was nice, but it was very touristy with lots of souvenir shops. Overall, I would recommend this tour.

The tour was fantastic! My guide Yeonmi was very knowledgable and great company. I got much more information about the Tsukiji Market and Asakusa than I would I had if I visited these places on my own. This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan. Great experience! I definitely recommend it!
