hi, best tour of all, very interesting and guide so pleasant and interesting, learned so much about san francisco and excellant cocktails
This was really fun, especially if you like history. The guide was terrific and knew a lot, showed us little things that you would never notice. We would not have seen or learned about this part of San Francisco if we did not take this tour. We actually had to find our way back by ourselves on our first night in San Francisco, which was the only thing that did not work out for us.
I guess I was expecting some nibbles with all the alcohol. 3 hours of nonstop history was to much for me. Go with something in your stomach and maybe the whole experience might be more enjoyable.
Martin is a historian who related a wealth of information about San Francisco. A fascinating tour.
We had a great time. Definitely something worth doing.
We had the time of our lives last Sunday on this tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable about SF History . We have lived here 25 years and learned so much more than we ever knew. He opened up the life of the City from The Native Americans, through the settlement of the Pueblo area and naturally the 19 th Century. Bravo. We would recommend this tour to anyone. 5 Stars all the way around.
Super knowledgable guide took us on an incredibly well-researched tour of Chinatown, Jackson Square, and North Beach sites related to San Francisco's early history. I lived in San Francisco for 10 years and didn't know about half what he showed us. Plus the cocktails were excellent!
Outstanding. Informative, fun, highly knowledgeable guide and really great bars. DO IT!!!
Eric was great! So personable and ready to answer all of our questions. Perfect tour for any history buff, who wants to learn more about San Francisco's rise.
Covers both history of The Beat Generation members and events as well as the rich and long history of San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood. Very knowledgeable and fun tour guide. Highly Recommended!
It was a great walking tour, covering the history of the area going back to the Gold Rush, with special emphasis on the Beat Generation. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Afterwards, I was able to take in the Beat Museum at my own pace. As a result of the tour, I'm now reading Kerouac's On the Road.
My husband and I had a great time! Ryan was an absolutely first-rate guide and we had lots of opportunities to ask questions and talk about our own experiences in SF during the 60s. Worth every penny and more! We'll be back next year to take another walking tour with Ryan and his group of guides. We can't wait, we had so much fun!
Didn't realise there was so much history around North Beach and The Beatniks!
Thanks for a lovely afternoon, we even went to the Vesuvio for 1 of Jack's favourite drinks after!!
Van was excellent. This was very enjoyable for me 58 y.o. woman and my 2 sons - 23 and 24 y.o.
This was a great tour, the cocktails were awesome, the commentary was fun- it really put you back in time during the gold rush era and the struggles San Francisco experienced. San Francisco is a beautiful city -Wear comfortable walking shoes and enjoy.
