A private tour around the city. Panama City is wonderful, a surprise to most visitors: clean, organized, safe. The only problem is that traffic may get busy and difficult to manage at peak hours. We loved Casco Viejo stop. Since I am a senior citizen and have a knee problem I could not enjoy the walking parts of the tour as I would like to have done. The modern district and tall buildings were shown to us by our guide when we asked him to do so.
This Tour was excellent. Our guide, Marcos, was totally prepared for the day, he knew exactly when the ships would be transiting through the Canal and got us there to see it right on time. He showed us the Old Town and was very patient with us when we wanted to stop for a drink. He certainly knows what he is talking about! We were very impressed and would certainly recommend a tour of this type again. Thanks for the enjoyment!
We took the tour February 12, 2017 with Nicholas. He was an amazingly informed tour guide. So much in fact, that when we were at the Miraflores Locks and Museum, several folks surrounded him to listen to him stating the facts of the Canal. Additionally, Nicholas was a wealth of information on Panama City. It was a pleasure to have spent our scheduled time with him as we toured the city.
We had a wonderful time in Panama city. We are a family of 5, My husband and I, two 16year olds and a 13 year old. We opted for a half day private tour. Our tour guide Gregory arrived at our hotel well before time. He accommodated us in a comfortable, well air-conditioned minivan. He was courteous and knowledgable about Panama and world events in general. He easily explained the engineering behind the Panama Canal to my eager 16 year old son.
After the trip he helped me find a pharmacy to get some medication for my husband and offered to take us to the airport for our flight the following day.
I would recommend this trip to anyone. A little bit pricey but worth it.
Euclides Okie was FANTASTIC! He was so friendly and knowledgeable about the city. He made sure that we had flexibility in each stop of the tour to customize it to what we wanted to see and for how long. He even took us to a great spot for an authentic Panamanian lunch that was so delicious, and to a little cafe in Casco Viejo for the BEST cup of coffee. Also, we don't speak any Spanish, but his English was so great. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone visiting Panama City!!
